Can't hate on Dubie for that. That was well hit and he's been putting pretty good swings on Gausman compared to everyone else.

the game move so fast and broadcast always try to squeeze in that last commercial so we ALWAYS miss the first pitch of the first batter. smh. we missed the 1st out.
Remember when Christian Vasquez didn't want to stick around because he knew Maldy's ego couldn't take it and no matter how much he outplayed him he would never become a starter. Remember when Dusty went around Click's back to prevent the team from trading for Contreras because he knew he would be better and knew Maldy wouldn't take it well. Remember when the front office was looking at Contreras and Murphy and Maldy said he would not be a backup no matter what and didn't want to be on the team like a baby. Remember when Astros social media team tweeted that Yainer was 6-0 as a catcher (Maldy was 6-13 at the time) and then they had to delete the tweet to prevent Maldy's feelings from getting hurt.
Going from facing the worst pitcher in baseball to one of the best might have a little something to do with it. Pena is 100% just guessing against Gausman. The BS low strike sure didn't help.
Last night's slugfest raised Houston's OPS 10 points to .724 and they're now ranked 17th Gausman is good (and the ump seems to be gernerous) but I'll blame the curse for now
