Abreu will eventually be batting .189. Can y'all imagine him still playing everyday and batting in an important 6th spot? OPS+ of 49 as it currently stands. As an alarming comparison, Dubon in 2022 had an OPS+ of 56.
pena needs to let some of those ball go. don't want to see another Pena running into Yordan incident.
75 pitches is pretty much the end of the line for Bielak. Given the blowout I'm sure Dusty is gonna try to get him through this, but somebody needs to be warming.
testing fate a little too much there and i agreed, someone should have been up and throwing in the pen.
Brilliant outing from Bielak. Pitchers don't always handle big leads well, but his outing was perfect for the situation. Make them hit the ball, throw a meatball down the middle if you have to.
Does anyone know Cavan Biggio's story? I mean, his OPS was around .800 his 1st two years with Toronto, but since then, bad to worse. This year, he has a negative WAR. https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/stats/_/id/37639/cavan-biggio
"Pitcher's best friend" Hell of a game by Bielak. @Nook, I'll take 13 IP and 3 R with smoke and mirrors anytime you got it.
