    If I were Mayor of NYC I'd send them right back where they came from if the resources aren't there. US citizens' come first and we have a ton of work to do on that front. So DeSantis and Abbott they're coming right back to ya (maybe with some handguns and AR-15s) or maybe those state governors also get hit with some trafficking charges as well.

    I would presume he is talking about getting groups involved that find housing among private households (think Catholic Charities resettlement programs https://www.catholiccharitiesusa.org/our-vision-and-ministry/immigration-refugee-services/).

    I would not and do not assume he means forcing people to house other people. But that's a violation of the spirit of the Quartering of Soldiers amendment, not socialism.

    Eric Adams is not a socialist. He is not even that liberal.

    You keep doing this thing where you post something and then act all shocked when people ask you why you are concerned about it.

    Why would you bother posting this if it wasn't something you clearly had strong feelings about?

    In addition to being beyond a ridiculous notion that should require a lot of suspension of disbelief to go along with, I didn't hear anything to suggest it would be mandated.

    I'm guessing if there are costs incurred and it's a public program then the public would pay for it.

    I've met him (recently).

    Like most politicians, he is a grifter who convinced himself (and others) he is doing it all for some greater good.

    He doesn't seem to have great intellect or a top level of education, but he thinks he is "doing the right thing". Unfortunately, these are some of the most dangerous people to hold public office.
