This week will be a huge litmus test for the Astros and AL West. Astros have 4 in Toronto then 3 in Cleveland and Rangers have 3 home vs Cards then 3 in Tampa. Astros must win at least 4 but really need 5. And it would be nice if Texas lost at least 3, but l would settle for them scoring less than 33 runs and giving up at least 30, with no 10+ run scored games ( by them) Baby steps still lots of season left. Astros 5-2 and Rangers 3-3 = Astros only 2 back.
Of course they need to win and take care of their business. But they are 3 1/2 games behind. The Rangers must lose to be caught. It doesn't matter if the Rangers go 103-0 the rest of the season. Not expecting the Rangers to lose some games is silly.
This would indicate that they may be snapping out of this hot streak by scoring less and giving up more runs this week.
