    So for those hoping to one day see Javier win a Cy Young, it just won't happen unless he figures out how to contain his pitch count.

    You may be startled to find out that in this magnificent 2-year run he's had since the start of 2022, he's gone past 6 innings only twice in 42 starts.

    Very true about Javier. It’s always been an issue. McCullers still can’t control his pitch count. That actually seems to have gotten worse in the few times we’ve seen him in the last few years.

    He can keep hitting all singles if he wants if he can continue to drive in runs at that pace.

    Astros have averaged 5.75 runs per game since Pena was moved to the 2 hole.

    That would rank us 3rd in the league if that was our season average.
