I'm telling you guys, this guy has "it".

And I truly believe, in a different way, Tari, Bari and even Jalen do, too.

Let these three grow around Senhub and we will thrive (and have fun).

Listened to the whole interview. A lot of good stuff, but the thing that really stands out is very high character, very smart and mentally super tough.

The 3 pt question was the last question of the interview.

    Sengun:

'I was shooting very bad at the beginning of the season, around 18%. Coach told me to pass it to other open players even if I was open, he was literally saying don't take 3s to me as he later mentioned in an interview. And I took it personally!!'

His exact words was 'that motivated me' but the attitude was exactly MJesque.

    And he goes on:
'I then said to myself, I will use my confidence and shoot it anyways. I was hesitating too much before. I got my percentage up to 33% and Silas told in a meeting that I could shoot it from that point on!'

He also said this year he will take more shots, not overthinking it.

To talk well about SIlas after the crappy way he was treated says a lot about him.

Beyond the skill, the passing, the post flair and the dunks, the thing I love most about Sengun is his personality/competitiveness. That confidence that had him flexing on vets from day 1 is maybe my favourite quality of any Rockets player.

Competitiveness combined with a 'team first' attitude! Even better. He always mentions he enjoys making others better than scoring himself.

I hope he continues to work on that little floater. Defenders are typically expecting Sengun to go in a low post position, they give him a lot of space to take the tear drop.

I love that he's basically just saying that he'll work on the things he needs to work on to take that step from a really talented roleplayer with a couple of elite traits to a bonafide star. If he starts hitting the long range mids at a good clip it's game over, even if he doesn't develop a 3. It just opens everything up for him and the rest of the team, and it's a proven archetype (mid range and post) for successful big men. Couple that with the fact that very few teams know how to defend an oldschool big man because they're out of vogue and he'll eat heartily. By the time teams have started figuring out how to plan for that he'll be entering his prime and it won't matter anyway.

Add that with his passing ability (and willingness) and he will have at least "baby"Jokic affect on games. We do not know what his ceiling as at this time.

Agreed - but I think it will really be fun to watch, if Ime unleashes him, and Tari, Bari, Green around him (maybe even KPJ, if KPJ can get his head on straight).
