4 game series? We doomed. Somehow though, I still believe we can get 3 out of 4. Bielak is pitching well enough. France will be throwing BP most likely.
The Astros stated they were considering a 6 man rotation and this series is where the additional starter would slot. I think if they identified wanting to shelter the starters from fatigue/additional innings here they need to do it regardless of who may be available to slide in. The Astros have not announced the rotation for the Angels series that starts today. Framber, Javier, France, and Bielak are lined up all on 4 days rest. Blanco started Friday so he is on 5 days rest. He threw 86 pitches in 5 1/3 innings giving up 2 singles, walking 3 and striking out 9. Did not give up a run. I fully expect him to be brought up to start today.
They have officially announced starters for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Bielak has not officially been announced for Sunday so it makes sense that they may bring Blanco up for Sunday and shift everyone down from there.
Time to start dominating our division like we do every year. Need at least 3 out of 4 here. Ohtani vs. Javier should be epic. Pitching and defense - my kind of baseball.
Yep. Lost to the Brewers and Twins. Two teams not exactly contending for a ring. Hopefully we get the series W with this one. Not really concerned about the Angels as much as the Rangers, but still need this series.
Both are also in 1st place in their divsions though, so they aren't terrible. And both were series where we played both of our replacement starting pitchers.
Yeah, I guess. Twins are in a terrible division though. Them being like 2 games over .500, I'm not impressed.
