Yes, companies are diversifying for multiple reasons. That has been blatantly obvious since the pandemic.

There is still a **** ton of manufacturing coming out of china, products almost everyone uses. People didn't have a problem with the PRC before. Apple has been criticized for years and only are moving out after its becoming more expensive and a bigger liability for their bottom line. This was not a moral decision. Lets not pretend.

Time will tell if this is a poor choice for Tesla.

 

Twitter's lawyers' argument is essentially that Musk was lying, which effectively elevates him to the status of Tucker Carlson. Congrats!

 

Also on par with Trump too whose own lawyers on several occasions have contradicted him.

In all three of these cases the lawyers are acting for the good of their clients to try to avoid liability. Unfortunately their clients don’t know when to shut up.

Depends on what his goal is. If his goal was to maxamize return on investment, then he failed.

If his goal was to turn one of the most heavily trafficked social media platforms into a right wing media bubble that can influence entire national elections, he very well might be successful in that regard. Too early to tell.

It's because a wealthy person getting into the "bootstraps" ideology makes perfect sense and on top of that since right wing ideology requires zero introspection (reason why it's called reactionary politics), it's the easier ideology to pander to.

Leftists are hard to pander to especially if you are a billionaire.
