How did Abreu get 2 ER when the ghost runner doesn't count against ERA? Eta- nevermind... misread the box. Two damn hits and a walk
Constant negative posts= mental fragility Letting someone else’s post bother you = mental fragility reacting with the ebb and flow of the game and/or season accordingly = mental balance
If you told me we would be one inning from a win with our minor league pitcher going up against Sonny Grey and his sub 2 ERA with Pressley on the mound for the save, I would be super happy. We didn't win which sucks, but I wasn't really expecting a win.
If you told me we would be one inning from a win with our minor league pitcher going up against Sonny Grey and his sub 2 ERA with Pressly on the mound for the save, I would be super upset as the only reason to tell me this information is if the Astros lose.
After last night's debacle by Ryan, his WHIP is still under 1.00 (.896) I was surprised by that number because he seems to always surrender at least one baserunner every appearance Guess the worser outings stand out more
but really that expectation should have changed once the Altuve grand slam happened. Still not expecting a win in that moment is just weird. It was a big letdown.
No but perhaps you do lack in reading comprehension. I never said anything in my post about being optimistic.
He has had a WHIP under 1 his entire tenure with the Astros outside of 2020. He's allowed a baserunner in less than half of his outings this year.
The guys on Locked on Astros pointed out that when batters aren't biting on Pressly's off speed stuff he can be hittable. Pressly is a good closer. The reason why a lot of people prefer Abreu is because of his "stuff". Abreu gave up the go ahead homer but his stuff overall tends to be harder to hit. I think that's what a lot of people prefer in a closer, dominant upper 90s, low 100s type of "stuff". Just another tough loss but not the end of the world.
