So your argument is you hope he becomes a player like those.... It's not rare. You have to eliminate 95% of all players to make it appear rare. You're saying what you think he's going to become is rare. Sure, which is why it's not likely he gets there. Out of curiosity, which of those players are as bad as Jalen on defense?
Your point makes no sense. Yes, history shows that guys who score like Green at his age go on to have great careers. Your whole argument is that it is unlikely that Green will be great. History, however, is on his side. Oh, and Jalen eliminated 95% of players with his play, not me.
Whatever happened to #4 trade packages thread. We can have the JG debate in the countless JG threads.

You're saying what you think he's going to become is rare. Sure, which is why it's not likely he gets there. Out of curiosity, which of those players are as bad as Jalen on defense? Ja had a dip his second year to .537. His rookie season of .556 was his lowest otherwise. Jalen's career high was as a rookie with .547. Jalen's defense is worse than Ja's. I also distinctly remember being told you can't compare point guards and shooting guards. I get it, poor man's Ja Morant. I'll pass... not a fan... I don't think it's winning basketball. Memphis wins because they surrounded him with defense. Games he shot under 40% they were 9-5 (.642). Games he shot better than 40% they were 31-16 (.659). So his good shooting nights translate to winning 1.3 wins more per season. I don't think they are relying on his scoring efficiency to win.
I think even if we ran it back with the exact same players, Green's shot attempts go down significantly unless he improves significantly just with a real coach that wants to keep his job.
Yes, we must only consider one and done or high school players... that's important because the other players like Larry Bird weren't good enough to play in the nba at 21...
Jalen didn't choose the age of 21. You chose that. Why didn't you choose 2nd nba season or 3rd professional season? Why are you only worried about points and not efficiency? Where does Jalen rank on that list of age 21 ts%?????
Yeah, it's just the same rehash single stat worshiping only fans again. It's old... I made a suggestion they use him in a package for Anunoby because I read a Raptors blog suggesting it and you'd think I said they should have moved Harden for Batum...
Damn what a scrub. Second to last on a list where the worst player outside of Green are Booker, Zion and Kyrie followed by Luka, Shaq and KD Just a scrub list all around. So many flukes. Where is Shaq now? What the hell is Zion doing now? Scrubs.
Talking about scrubs and scrubbing floors......dude never really got the rookie hazing treatment. Wall tried but he was not around. Like KPJ he lived like a king, like king James, not a care in the world.
The stat is asking for players under 21. Bernard King probably joined the NBA at 21 and probably turned 22 like one month into his rookie year where most of his pts came at age 22.
Would CHA accept #4, #20, JTate, and Usman for #2? If yes, I would do it and take Miller. PG - KPJ SG - JG SF - BM* PF - Bari C - Alpi The depth and starting lineup improves dramatically if you sign two vets. Discount Harden as a starting PG would be a nice lineup along with some good depth in Tari and KJ.
We need vets man That's another season where our average age for our starting line up is younger than most D1 teams.
Fair...and I agree with the point that the org has done Jalen no favors by giving him and KPJ the rock on day one and surrounding them with talented but very incomplete odds and ends and telling them to go make something happen. That's a reflection of poor coaching and organizational leadership more so than Jalen being bad though....extending that concept out further - it's really exposed the worst faults of ALL the players we have drafted - Jabari, and Sengun especially. I dont like it or agree with it but hope that the players come into their first Udoka season especially eager to learn how to get over the problems that Silas was simply incapable or unwilling to help them fix - instead of digging into bad habits from the Silas regime.
