I researched and edited Rockets were not 8th because only 6 teams made it each conference (only 23 NBA franchises).. 1st and 2nd seeds got a First Round bye But the Rockets were the "lowest" seeded playoff team (6th) So technically, Houston has made the Finals twice as a 6th seed

Really those the people with votes? Plus only 9 people. I never understand these playoff award decisions. It's how Andre Iguodala ends up winning a NBA FInals MVP. I honestly think NHL is the only league that does it correct with the Conn Smythe Award and a reasonable number of voters.
