the vitriol and outright hate people on the right have for those who aren’t on their side has gotten past the point of being outta control…aside from the extreme crazies who constantly talk about hanging or shooting people on the left, u have Trump posting things like this as a holiday message and DeSantis whose main goal is to destroy the left this is the right wing’s 2 main presidential candidates people on the left are constantly told they are not “real Americans” as well…Why? What gives them the right?
Biden and Hillary have said that the conservative, or right wing, or MAGA movement should be destroyed? Please post the specific comments you're referring to.
I find it strange that you use to live in Germany and I presume know the history of what happened and yet are okay with statements like this from a US presidential candidate. It shouldn't be a "Well he did it too", not that Biden ever took issue with conservatives, he just took issue with the extreme MAGA cult that had greater ambitions.
By defining the political opponent as "a threat to this country", he is surely implying that this threat needs to be eliminated. Dramatic dictator-like stage and color-scheme and all. Same when Hillary talked about political opponents as "deplorables". Only difference is, you agree with one and disagree with the other. So you see one as perfectly justified whereas you see the other one as a fascist. Newsflash - politicians talk badly about their opponents and say their ideas must be fought. Also, as to that Trump "tweet", I couldn't even finish reading it, what kind of idiot writes in all caps, seriously.
So you couldn't find Biden or Hillary saying the "same thing". Got it. Every critical statement is not equivalent. I know your extra-sensitive because DeSantis' presidential campaign has imploded right out of the starting gate, but you should try not to let it completely warp your perspective.
I was very clear in my post regarding him going after extreme MAGA cult. Thanks for posting a video that proves that.
this? I know there are only 60 days left to make our case – and don't get complacent; don't see the latest outrageous, offensive, inappropriate comment and think, "Well, he's done this time." We are living in a volatile political environment. You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. (Laughter/applause) Right? (Laughter/applause) They're racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic – you name it. And unfortunately, there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people – now have 11 million. He tweets and retweets their offensive hateful mean-spirited rhetoric. Now, some of those folks – they are irredeemable, but thankfully, they are not America.
Yes. Half of Trump's supporters could go into a basket of deplorables. Exactly. That's different than saying all of his supporters are deplorables. I don't know the exact percentage of deplorable Trump supporters. Maybe she's wrong, maybe she's close to being right.
DeSantis wants to go after an ideology - woke leftism. Biden and Hillary specifically demonize people - MAGA supporters. I am by no means a supporter of MAGA, but I think dehumanizing them as "deplorables" and enemies of democracy isn't the solution either.
The 2022 midterms had a +3 republican turnout but republicans crossed over to vote Democrat when a MAGA canidate on the ballot..... lol not a single MAGA election denier won their race for SOS... Americans obviously agree with biden more about the threat of MAGA than they do of lefties. Facts are facts. Can't argue with facts
It worked for DeSantis in Florida. And I think you and I actually agree that the far left guys (he/she/they/diverse) are problematic. I surely prefer Biden to them.
Walt Disney’s scrapping of a $900 million development in Florida has derailed other major real-estate projects that are already underway, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday. The planned office park in Orlando had been a central part of an 11,000-acre planned community – and Disney's cancellation has put the whole development in jeopardy, the Journal reported. Disney’s development would have taken up 60 acres of an 11,000-acre planned community called Lake Nona that's being built by Tavistock Development Co. Many of the other commercial and residential projects – as well as other housing developments in the Orlando area – had planned on the influx of Disney workers. More than 2,100 apartments have been built since Disney announced it was moving – compared to only 750 in the three years before, according to the Journal. Construction of another 1,200 was planned. “Its pullout could contribute to a glut of homes in the community,” the Journal reported. The Lake Nona development also includes restaurants and a hotel, which had banked on Disney bringing in business. Disney “would have been a transformational development project for Lake Nona,” said Lisa McNatt, a market analytics expert based in Orlando. “It would have resulted in a strong uptick in higher-income jobs that could have benefited the Orlando area at large.”
Sometimes a spade needs to be called a spade. I'm sorry if you think it's offensive, but in this particular case I'm glad someone is doing it. I think Trump's type of politics and the type of individuals that have come out of hibernation because of it is disgusting. Maybe you don't see it because you are attempting to be pragmatic, but I don't think history will look kindly on these individuals.
Why wrong thread? Since DeSantis passed open carry in Florida violent crime has soared? 5 out of 6 voters in Florida are FOR more gun control yet DeSantis passes the most pro gun legislation possible doing the opposite of what his citizens. https://floridapolitics.com/archive...f-6-florida-voters-support-stricter-gun-laws/
I'm not sure if you're aware but MA had a republican governor for a decade who was pro gun...he just left office last November...... lol please do some research I beg you before you post
