I can respect all of that. Nobody should be making under 40k with a degree. The tax payer shouldn't be paying education institutions for people to be stay home/part time or degrees that do not translate to a career. Also 40k will be minimum wage in the near future in most states.
@AroundTheWorld @basso it's funny that the right wing trolls on these forums like to paint biden as mentally challenged or something but the people who actually interact with him say he's as sharp as ever. Biden is going debate trump and do perfectly well. Mccarthy is a trump ally and has no reason to lie. I really do think Biden is playing 4d chess. Troll in public and lower expectations.
Any word if Nancy Pelosi husbands gay lover been caught so far? I know you were working hard on the mystery. Talking about mental capacity are you one to comment?
Totally healthy that American consumers are subsidizing giga projects in Saudi while OPEC manipulate prices at the gas pumping driving anger towards biden. It's amazing how we're being absolutely fleeced and ****ed by saudi and we can't do a thing because the ukraine war. Saudi and OPEC will **** us all when they go all in for trump in 2024. Totally healthy democracy we have going. American democracy is at the whelm of a saudi dictator. Awesome news!!!
If only there were some sort of more local source of oil. Maybe in the United States or Canada. We could even refine it here. To make it cheaper, we could build a pipeline to pump it directly to the United States (say, Nebraska) from Canada. It could form some sort of keystone for American energy independence so we would be less affected by OPEC. An extra large (XL) keystone. In the form of a pipeline. Surely everyone would support that. No one would revoke the permit for such an endeavor.
The keystone XL pipeline wasn't due to be ready till 2030. Biden in his first year issued more oil drilling permits than trump did. Quit being a partisan loser and look at the bigger picture. We need to dislocate from OPEC as a whole. The USA is largest oil producer in the world as of 2023. There's no reason american consumers should be paying for MBS pet projects. It's bullshit. We could very easily create our own version of OPEC and disconnect from the Saudis. The issue is if we did this the Saudis would raise prices on the Europeans and then their support for Ukraine would drop. Biden could do a partial export ban but all these scenarios end up to raising prices on the Europeans. As long as this ukraine war goes were at the whelm of the Saudis. The Saudis are literally renting out trump property for their liv tour. It's utter delusion that there's folks out there that think Saudis won't throw the election for trump in any way. They'll cut production and do whatever to jack up prices on biden before election. Amazing democracy we have going that were cucked to the saudis because of the war. https://biologicaldiversity.org/w/n...drilling-approvals-outpace-trumps-2023-01-24/
If only there was some type of guarantee that Canadian oil would remain in the United States. There wasn't. That oil was going to be sold to the highest bidder.
As it should be, that's what free markets are. Increasing production and bringing more domestic fuel to market lowers the power of OPEC to control prices by increasing alternative supplies. Oil, like most commodities is freely traded on the global market. Unlike most commodities, a huge amount of the supply is controlled by a cartel, which allows the cartel to game the system through artificial scarcity (see also, diamonds). The more alternative suppliers to the market, the less power the cartel has to manipulate the global supply and thus the market price.
So basically then Canadian oil, which is being extracted and sold already, isn’t going to make that much of a difference to what US consumers are paying at the pump.
Also wouldn’t moving off of our dependence on fossil fuels also reduce the power of a fossil fuel cartel?
Yes. Unfortunately, Americans (especially Democrats) are against nuclear energy, which at the moment is the only feasible way to move away from fossil fuels. NIMBYs also scuttle plans for more wind and hydro. We should be both increasing our production of fossil fuels and building out alternative energy, largely nuclear. Good luck building new nuclear power plants though, the last new plant that started construction was in 1973. There have been a couple new reactors added to an existing plant in Georgia that started construction in 2013, but those were the only ones since the 70s. If the pipeline wouldn't do anything, they wouldn't have bothered trying to build it. Clearly someone thought that it would bring Canadian oil to market faster and/or cheaper.
What do you get out of posting old out of context videos ? Trump nd bush said ridiculous things all the time as well. Folks who actually negotiated with biden said nothing but praise for him. These are far right MAGA folks praising biden. @Os Trigonum Funny how the "whistleblowers" always turn out to be frauds
