Getting only 1 run out of the Alvarez, Pena and Tucker ABs was a killer.

He's not been good, but some luck goes the other way and he's matching Gray so far.

Also, the 2 out walk to Correa was a bad idea.

 

I am being too harsh on him. He is actually fine for a 6th, or 7th starter over the course of a long season.

 

We are throwing jp france at sonny gray 1 day after we scored 10 runs (against a historically awful team) and people are surprised we are losing this game. It had loss written all over it. Now, we could still come back but if we don't we need to still take the series.

 

France looks like Bregman in disguise with funny glasses and a ridiculous fake stache.

 

By no standard is 4 runs in 6 innings a good start, but it should be a winnable game if the offense was doing anything.

Sonny Gray has been a quality pitcher but I don't remember him ever being this good over his career.
