All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PBP, that can be found from other sources if you need it. All games are broadcast on AT&T Sports SW unless otherwise noted. 5-29 Sonny Gray (R) vs. J.P. France (R) 3:10 MLBN (out-of-market only) 5-30 Joe Ryan (R) vs. Brandon Bielak (R) 7:10 5-31 Louie Varland (R) vs. Hunter Brown (R) 7:10
Should be a good series. Twins pitching is very strong and Sonny Gray is the current ERA leader. The Stros have been putting up some big numbers recently.
Actually this group calls it the Massacre..not Miracle: https://www.crawfishboxes.com/2020/...ial-day-massacre-2017-astros-crush-twins-16-8 Astros were down 8-2 in the 8th and came back to win big
Rain delayed helped the Astros comeback lol. Just watched the highlights again and the comeback started against pressley LOL. Even funnier.
I'm willing to bet the Astros light up Sonny Gray today and have 3 combined runs the following 2 games..

After the 7 homers yesterday, I went and looked up where the Astros stand vs the league in HR's. https://www.espn.com/mlb/stats/team/_/table/batting/sort/homeRuns/dir/desc Even after the 7 yesterday we are 23rd in the league in homers. 23rd! So we are due people. Lots more. Lets start with tonight.
Before yesterday 1B and 2B had combined for a comical 1 HR total (Hensley was a 3B for his one HR). Yes that means both positions were on less than a 2 HR pace combined for a full season. Catcher isn't much better with 3 HR. That's 3 positions we've gotten no power out of whatsoever. One way or the other, the situation for at least 2 of those 3 positions will be much improved by years end.
Altuve the biggest difference maker... he can pretty much allow them to lock in 1-6 and it will look like a "good" lineup no matter what the order.
