It all depends on how much freedom Tilman is giving Ime. Can he pick any player or are their constraints and Rafael and Eli have to intercept? Picking someone from any good team and put it on a bad or mediocre team........one has to adapt anyway. If Boston makes the Finals or wins the title, good chances are that they keep 95% of what they got.
Yes, I agree they will probably mostly run it back. If they make any changes at all via trade, though, you'd think it would be in the backcourt, since they have Smart, Brogdon, White all under contract. Grant Williams is an RFA and is going to be looking to get paid, and Brown's supermax is up next after this upcoming season. Trading one of their guards for a cost-controlled forward like Tari could make a lot of sense for them financially.
Brogdon is the one who would be on the out unfortunately and as you said Grant Williams and they have to address that with cheaper players. Unless they pay the tax. They keep Smart like GSW keep Draymond around.
I’d try to give more picks and not Tari if possible, but if we had to do Tari then I would give them the 2024 Nets pick, 2025 nets swap, and no. 20 this year. I’m not sure Boston would go for it. If we are truly trying to make the playoffs then I would take out the 2024 Nets pick and sub it with the 4th pick this year. Smart has one of the best contracts in the league.
Just hard to see them taking a trade that doesn't include a productive, cost-controlled player, given that their goal right now is to extend their window as much as possible. Maybe in a three team deal of some kind?
Unless JB demands a trade, I don't see this happening. If BOS wins tomorrow it will be an historic comeback and they'll be in the Finals. Interesting aside, JB is one of 6 NBA players whose faith is Islam. Noticed him giving thanks last night and Googled to confirm. While I'd be interested in JB, I think the cost for us would be higher than we would want to pay and I'm not certain that is the move to put us on a championship trajectory.
He's not a Farrakhan supporter right? That would be disappointing. I understand Farrakhan has done a lot of community work for poor Black communities but man his rhetoric about Jews is frightening.
There are about 1.8B Muslims in the world. About 50,000 belong to the Nation of Islam. Also, let's keep religion out of the GARM, please - unless it is relevant to the topic at hand.
I think given past few years of events it's reasonable to ask if Brown is a Farrakhan supporter. This doesn't have much to do with the general Muslim population but Brown specifically. He isn't Kyrie level worrisome but has had some troubling thoughts in the past.
Lol, the actual discussion of basketball? You're the doofus who responds to every perceived slight within a millisecond by citing THE SACRED TRAJECTORIES. I mean i was actually at last NBA game Jalen Green played! I watched quite a bit! Nothing changed my untrained eye/mind. Trust me we left the actual discussion of basketball behind a million years ago. It's all about ego now. I'm good with it though.
Do you think this could be a projection of your intent and motivations here? Because I post my sincere thoughts about Green because I really enjoy him as a prospect/player. It seems like you are showing your hand that many of your arguments are based in just digging your heels into the sand rather than sincerely expressing your beliefs. Kinda makes your absurd takes on the kid make more sense.
Are you going to apply that same logic to a player who says they are Christian? Are you going to ask if they belong to the KKK - a Christian organization? C'mon man...
If they like a tweet that shows support to one of those groups .. sure? You know he had a controversy of liking a tweet of Black Israelite activists right? Those guys are even more extreme than NOI. He simply probably didn't know the context of the tweet he liked but I think given the context it's reasonable to ask if he's a NOI Muslim or your typical Sunni Muslim.
Or you keep this out of the GARM... and GOOGLE Jaylen Brown like I did... https://www.sportskeeda.com/basketb...celtic-s-superstar-s-ethnicity-cultural-roots
I don't think you understood the point. Nation of Islam don't accept Islam, and Islamic leaders don't accept the Nation of Islam. You can't be both. That's why Malcolm X left Nation of Islam to become a Muslim. So unless JB is a Nation of Islam follower, it's a weird question. I think the poster was saying he's an actual Muslim i.e. he follows Islam and not the Nation of Islam. A Muslim has no reason to support Farrakhan, unless they're anti-semitic I guess. So your question becomes: is he anti-semitic? Which is probably troubling to Muslims, because being Muslim has nothing to do with anti-semitism. Perhaps if he was Arab since growing up in Arabia, there's a lot of anti-semitic conditioning growing up.
I've always understood that NOI and Sunni Islam are at odds and don't like each other. But when you like a Black Israelite activist tweet you are going to get people asking questions.
Once again, Google is your friend... but honestly I am beginning to think you are just trying to hash this out publicly (rather than doing a tiny bit of searching) https://nypost.com/2022/11/21/jayle...out-black-hebrew-israelites-for-kyrie-irving/
I don't think it's a Sunni Islam thing so I'm not sure you're quite grasping it. Nation of Islam just nominally contains the word Islam. If Nation of Islam was called Nation of XYZ, then you wouldn't ask if a Muslim believes what they believe. Your concern is valid of course, but I was just clarifying the other part which is that there's no link between him and Farrkhan (again, just as I understood it because the poster said he's Muslim). If he's an anti-semite, he's an anti-semite. Anyway, this is ruining people's experience outside the D&D and I'm not interested in the depths of this discussion. Just thought that clarification would be helpful. Good luck finding your answer.
