Not saying it has to be elite, but I don’t see Sengun guarding on the perimeter. It’s hard with me bc I’m high on his offense, especially in the post. I don’t like him bc I think he’s an all time bad defender at the most important defensive position. If he could bring something on that end, then I would completely change how I feel about him. I know you aren’t as low on him defensively like me. I do wanna see how Ime uses him, maybe he finds a way since Silas was so bad. Idk
That’s a fair take. We do disagree on his defensive ability, where we will agree is he won’t ever be an elite defender. I do think he can be a good team defensive player and has enough athleticism/IQ/hand eye/length to guard on perimeter. He still has to develop range if he wants to take the next step. I do think we need a long rim protector, Lively and Edey fit the bill in this draft. Still pissed we didn’t get Wemby, I knew Spurs would get him. ****ing rigged
I would love someone like Lively but I was convinced a couple days ago that we have already drafted all the young guys we need. And there's clearly no way a sane person could hold those two thoughts simultaneously.
You guys struggle to keep up with nuance. 1. We don't need anymore rookies for our core, we have them and they need to develop. 2. We need to support those core pieces with some missing elements like a shot blocking big - who BTW can also shoot 3s in Lively. 3. We can trade out of the draft for those elements or we can draft one if they are available..... Both things can be true at the same time......I don't want any other player in the draft other than Lively. I also like Black, Whitmore and Murray - but those would be well we couldn't trade the pick we have to take someone. SHEESH ! DD
I don't think Lively is gonna be around at 20. Seems like his stock is rising too quickly. Leonard Miller as well, I don't think he's available at 20 either. What about Kris Murray though? Keegan was a #4 pick and Kris isn't like a ton different...I mean they are twins after all...
That’s an old measurement. His current international measurements are 7’5 220 http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Victor-Wembanyama-122523/
He’s slow, unathletic, and averages 5 points a game…..with that said I’d still take him over Amen Thompson. Rockets need to dump that waste of a pick at numbef 4 as this is a BAD draft after the top 3.
You think he will be able to dribble around guys 6'7 or 8 that are higher twitch than him with his high bounce dribble? KD is the only player I have seen be able to do that....I doubt Wemby becomes KD good, more than likely he breaks down in 3-6 years like all other guys over 7'4" have done. DD
I think he has a good a chance to be KD or better than anyone I’ve ever seen. He might get hurt, but you take the chance on his upside all day everyday. He’s got Goat potential
