Jalen Green's thoughts on James Harden coming back to the Rockets

Seems like it, if you watch any Jalen Green interview he usually goes along the path that the interviewer was heading, add some context and doesn't say anything controversial. He's 21, hes talking to a Vet here, he doesn't seem the type to be disrespectful to people.

Players who were built up like this and drafted this high, i think he has to have some balance between accepting Harden coming, but also displaying the confidence as if he does not need him to come save the franchise.

I am still torn on whether it makes sense for James to come back, his multiple 40+ point games in the playoffs were huge, but throwing up another game 7 dud and seeing other guys just turn it up a notch in the playoffs you get the feeling James is only worth having on a team friendly deal with other pieces. If Jalen, Jabari, Sengun and the 4th pick all dont want James then its something you have to listen to, vs. it just being one guy not wanting him.

none of the players on the roster have done anything to where their preferences or thoughts on the matter hold any weight…all they’ve done is lose games and look clueless on the court

and a lot of these players get exalted or exalt themselves without earning it…Jalen Green “King of Houston” and KPJ “head honcho”…Sengun “franchise player”

Stop it dude. Jalen Green was asked a leading question. He didn't place any titles for himself. Same with Sengun. And even with KPJ he was more referring to being one of the most experienced players on the roster along with being the starting pg.

No player on our roster is giving advice to our front office on who to aquire. No player on the roster even pretends they have that pull.

People here are really set off by the "king of houston" comment. It didn't even come from Green himself. Ya'll gotta start understanding the concept of context.

 

I love Green. There has been a few cringe worthy aspects of his personality but being overly arrogant isn’t one of them. I mean, I guess if he had given a self effacing retort in which he admitted he was quite a ways from being the king of Houston. It would’ve been better. BUT no athlete is going to go that route.

 

Jalen Green got played by Paul George. PG knew Jalen wasn't gonna disagree with him, he's a Fresno OG. Hyped him up, "you're the King of Houston now.....you need to get double teamed and triple teamed...You don't want Harden there"

He probably called Harden immediately after the interview to convince him to come to the Clippers.

Ime doesnt want Harden. The Rockets organization is not pursuing him. Unless that changes, anything Jalen said or the way Harden felt about it is not relevant.

PG is a playoff loser and Harden is not a big winner.

They can only win if Kawhi is at his best and healthy, a big if and he is always injured.
