Good foreign policy pivot This guy ****in stinks at this It's an indictment of the media that they ever built him up
this dude is such a clown gets asked how he would handle the war in Ukraine, and he starts babbling about the military being “woke” “wokeness” is his entire platform
Not sure how you got to this sad point of unseriousness when in the next sentence he's talking up his friendship with Kim Jong-Un.
I didn't tune in live, but I did listen to it afterward. Even if I hadn't listened to it at all, having an accurate account of what happened still gives my opinion value, especially since I know a thing or two about tech. If I may digress for a moment, your criticism is similar to how I sometimes hear people of one race saying that a person of another race should never comment on what they go through because they haven't experienced it. I don't believe that's correct. While they may not have walked in someone else's shoes, it doesn't mean they shouldn't have a perspective or that it holds no value. Besides, no individual can truly be in the shoes of another individual, so following that line of thinking would mean that no comments are ever valid. Regarding the concept of "on the fly" that you mentioned, it refers to failing fast and making corrections as needed, which holds value in product development. However, that wasn't the case here. There is no new product; it's an old product that was likely limited, and it should have been stress-tested with the expected bandwidth spike. That's not too difficult to do. Product development is much harder, and sometimes you do want to release untested ideas to test the waters and make rapid adjustments. However, that doesn't mean you release a poor-quality product that hasn't been tested for important aspects such as security, expected functionalities, and performance. Doing so would harm your reputation and reduce the chances of getting another opportunity to test the waters. I had hope for Twitter, but as I mentioned a few months ago, I've given up on it. It needs someone else running it.
I’m so pissed that those school officials actually acknowledged and validated this racist dumbass they need to reverse their decision immediately, issue a public apology, and then resign in shame…what a pathetic bunch of useless cowards
Bro, it's just an exercise, she's just one example in a multitude. It's all about power, subjugation, reducing school efficacy to a point where 'school choice' is legalized so 'rich' people can get tax vouchers so their kids can go to private school (which is all backed by for-profit school corporations, which are ultimately much worse for education), and making the poors dumber so they don't know what's right.
From what I read, his wife is the 50/50 wheeler-dealer shotcaller in their relationship and she made him change the pronunciation of his name. I'll see if I can find the article. ETA: here it is, long but very, very informative about him and the whole dynamic of the couple https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/05/19/casey-ron-desantis-wife-profile-00097456
It's killing me, if I knew how I could do it without leaving my mom and some extended family behind (you know, in a lurch needing stuff and help)...I'd already be gone. Don't tell anybody I said this.
My mom was a teacher (speech therapy+special ed, then later kindergarten) for a long time, and she's middle of the road conservative, but this, on this, she got really angry about the other day when I brought it up.
Spoiler We have two people that are keeping us here. One is about to be 99 and the other has some pretty gnarly Alzheimer's. We don't anticipate them being a long term block, sadly. My oldest graduates next year, but after that, all bets are off. My wife hates the cold. She says that Houston isn't hot enough. But we're looking at Massachusetts because it tops both safety and education. She said 'I love my kids smart and alive more than I hate the cold'.
