Pistons technically started their tank 1 year before us; if criterion is W/L records.

    2019-20 HOU 44 wins, DET 20 wins
    2020-21 HOU 17 wins, DET 20 wins.

The other two teams who started their tank along with Rockets in 2020-21 were ORL and OKC, But this year, ORL (34 wins) and OKC (40 wins) move UP (30+wins) and out of the tank already.

The Pistons are a team that lost its identity.

They do not produce gritty players like Laimbeer, Rodman, Ben Wallace any longer.

Now they have to deal with this slew of New School Kids with cool outfits and step back 3s.

Just like any other team but with a questionable market size.

there’s a lot of really dumb organizations in this league

no way are u trying to win a championship and interviewing Doc Rivers for a HC job

What will it take for teams to finally learn?

that 08 Celtics championship is the most milked title of all time

Doc is best coaching a bunch of role players with little expectations and getting them to overachieve…when he has to coach a team with actual expectations, he is awful

I don’t think he runs players into the ground…that’s never been a stated knock against him

he makes no adjustments in a playoff series and is the king of choking

it is no coincidence that Kawhi, basically a playoff god, blew a 3-1 lead and was horrible in game 7 scoring 14 points on 6-22 shooting vs Denver under Doc’s watch

there’s no way he should be under consideration for a team like PHX

    Was it Sheed?

He also said the players basically had to coach themselves on the court which u can get away with in the regular season, but in the playoffs against good competition? Not a chance

Celtics 57 rebounds and Heat 38 Rebounds, this should be a win, but it ended up in a blowout lost. That is on the coach, not the players. Tatum drives the Celtics bus, I'm sure upper management asked him if change is needed.

Dox Rivers is the NBA's saboteur. When there's an up and coming team that the NBA wants to neuter for the sake of another team, they make them hire Doc Rivers. He knows exactly what to say to them to make the threatening team play like trash. Where will he go to next? Stay tuned.

Mid-way through the podcast, Georges Niang detailed how the 76ers really don’t practice much during the week away from games. The exact term Niang uses is “loosely” referring to practices and shoot-arounds with the team.

What really is the nail in the coffin for me is JJ Redick, who played under Doc Rivers in Los Angeles for many years, backs up the idea that it isn’t a 76ers thing, but a Doc Rivers style choice.

Ayton broke him. He's not gonna let Wiseman do it again.

Would be different if he saw Wemby though...... just draft luck or poor draft luck.

I mean Cade was okay but that draft was not that good at the Numero uno.
