Big tech has always been full of Libertarian frat bros who have enough social awareness to not openly hate gay people and black people.

Republicans and the right wing are no longer allowed to criticize "cancel culture".

Seriously. This is horrible. When has history's winning side ever been the leading force in the effort to ban and censor books?

It is incredibly un-American and very much wrong. DeSantis and his "woke goes to die" mantra is a huge blow to freedom.

This is an interesting play. DeSantis will announce on Twitter Spaces with Elon Musk. MSM will have to feed off the scraps from Twitter.(Doesnt matter though because Twitter will be dead in a few months ... per MSM)

Meanwhile Trump is still holding out on his shitty platform, refusing to come back to Twitter while DeSantis will have a much bigger audience on Twitter.

Musk should stay out of this however I do wonder how this unholy relationship plays out. Obviously Musk is doing everything he can to bring as much attention to Twitter.

    Facebook who?

Actually, in 2 weeks nobody will remember on what platform on which the announcement was made.

They won't remember DeSantis holding what amounts to a press conference on his presidential announcement with Elon Musk?

Correct. Nobody talks about when Biden made his presidential bid and he won both the nomination and presidency.

He just wants to do it on Twitter so he can control the camera angle.

This "event" between DeSantis and Musk says far more about Musk than it does DeSantis. It's been clear for a long time that DeSantis is a bigot. Now it's perfectly clear that Elon Musk is a bigot as well, in my humble opinion.

It seems so often when this kind of crap happens , you find out the truth behind what happened and its even more shocking. So, any parent who doesnt like something can just say so and have it banned? Tell me again, who is behind the cancel culture mentality? These poor kids will grow up thinking that america is a utopia and we have never done anything bad to any person or any race............its just rainbows and unicorns.............oh crap, better replace rainbows, wouldn't want them to think about gay pride or anything...........there I go again, you cant say gay in tiny ron`s state

its going to be interesting. trump cultists, who control the GOP, will not support him and will turn on him no matter the outcome. normal people (non-right wingers) will never support him.

the more he puts himself out there the less popular he is...dude has a s***ty personality. he is simply not likeable. he is an angry, egotistical weirdo and right-wing extremist. he has no sense of humor and when trump starts making fun of him at debates its not going to go well. trump is going to turn him into a bigger laughingstock than he already is...look what he did to jeb, little-marco and ted in 2016.

speaking of jeb, he was the front-runner in 2016 and we have not heard a peep from him since he got destroyed by trump in the primary. thats what pudding-fingers has in store for him.

I cant wait to see this showdown, I want trump to pulverize this guy..............ATTN MAGA CULT, tiny ron is about to be mean to your leader so it's time to rally the troops and start hating this guy and everything he stands for, nothing is off limits, his wife his kid (who by the way was in a trump ad not to long ago) his education......hell , make stuff up as you normally do. We cannot let tiny ron become the candidate, even if trump is going to prison he can still run for president so don't let that stop you. Dont half a$$ it either, get out with your trump flags and follow this guy around the country and make sure he knows who the base wants!!!!

PS - trump needs money to help with these pesky lawsuits , so if ya got a spare buck or two send it to the trump team, after all we are all in this together!!

apparently the book was simply re-shelved . . . doesn't sound like it was 'banned' per se

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...orman-poem-banned-florida-school/70250148007/

School: Book was moved, not banned
The complaint that led to Bob Graham Education Center restricting elementary-age students' access to “The Hill we Climb” came from a mom of two students at the school. The parent said that in all, five titles in the school’s library weren’t age appropriate.

A school materials review committee made up of a few Bob Graham teachers and several administrators deemed four items as more appropriate for middle school students than for elementary-age students. The other three titles that were shifted to the middle school age group are “The ABCs of Black History,” which was written for an audience of 5 years old and up, “Cuban Kids,” and “Love to Langston.”

Miami-Dade school officials defended their actions and said they haven't banned the book.

"No literature (books or poem) has been banned or removed," the district said in a statement. "It was determined at the school that 'The Hill We Climb' is better suited for middle school students and, it was shelved in the middle school section of the media center. The book remains available in the media center."
