    T

Two hits for Abreu. Hopefully they fixed what he has been doing wrong. It's weird to drop that much almost overnight without an injury being involved.

But to have a mental collapse after dominating the league for a decade is weird also. Of course it's partially mental, but I think he made a mechanical change over the last season that has totally screwed him up.

Unfortunately it is what it is. I don’t think he’s “mentally weak”. I think he is just wrapped up in a nasty mental battle with his swing and his timing. He is not confident right now. It happens, not usually for this long but it happens.

That was a fun game and mostly everyone got involved! Yordan is amazing, we are so fortunate to watch him play for the Astros!

Seemed to work out fine with Yuli last season. Season-long mental slump and then -- BAM -- one of our best hitters in the postseason.

Don't look now, but Maldonado is slashing .296/.380/.478/.857 in May.

How is the game going? It should be in the late innings with a 12:10 CT start.

Oops! 6:40 CT Start. Looking at tomorrow.

Man ALOOOOT of people complained about Dusty's lineup yesterday, then it was the best offensive game all season. When do we get to a point collectively where we just trust that this guy knows a crap ton more about how to put his lineup together than we do and we just STFU about it?

1st offensive explosion out of how many lineups?

    that's like saying i got a girl's number out of 30 girls and now i'm a playa/rizz master.

this offense is currently sitting near the bottom of the league right now. Yes, save me the "they're missing brantley, they missed altuve for so and so games, abreu will get going" etc etc.

Dusty pushed the right buttons yesterday. But that's baseball.

40% of the time the worst possible lineup will win
40% of the time the best possible lineup will lose.

But I would bet if that game was played 1000 times with the same players and lineups, more often than not the Astros score less than 5 runs.

And Corey Julks goes o-fer in 750 of them.

I like how you zeroed right in on the problem. I can't keep my days straight. Watched 2 innings and then woke up for the last 2. It's like 2 different days.
