Correct it was down and inside. He should wear contacts. Couldn’t hurt.

It’s tiresome when people are nothing but negative.

    Altuve is back!
-he’ll probably go 0-fer for the game and the series

While Dubon is playing his ass off
    -Dubon is trash

    Pressly with 28 consecutive saves
    -finally Pressly stopped sucking

    That kind of thing.

Ok. I hear ya but I guess we are different. There are other types here that are more tiresome, in my opinion. Someone getting frustrated or questioning Dusty is a perfectly natural fan thing to do. Insulting players is not a serious thing. They are millionaires and they do not know us and they do not care. As long as the attacks are performance related and aren’t too personal or tasteless, I guess.

Ugh, what major mistake signing him was... Should have instead signed Yuli and Contreras..... Automatically The Astros have a scary lineup....

If the argument is they are millionaires and don't know or care about the insults, why does it matter if they are performance related vs personal/tasteless? If they aren't serious anyway and the the players don't care, why isn't it ok just to say racist or other demeaning things about them?

If I were the manager I would bat Abreu 8th. Means fewer AB’s a game usually vs. batting 4th. Fewer at bats. Fewer outs.

Great win for the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ today though. Framber was nails. Apparently his warmup was "crazy" according to Maldonado (The Patron Saint of Pitchers according to some here ;)) per ESPN game recap.

    Totally agree.

I'm sure he's had his negative takes towards a player or manager before.

At least I'm not the type that only gripes when we are losing. Now that isn't cool when you're winning everything is fine and then lose a few and now you think everything is crap.

    Uh no.

You seen the stats on those 2?

Yuli is even less productive than Abreu believe it or not.

Contreras is pedestrian, but obviously would be a much better option that Foldonado.

Actually please don’t say anything racist or demeaning about anyone. That should probably be off limits, right? If you feel the need to say something racist over a baseball game then you are definitely taking things too seriously.

Go ahead and criticize their performance all you want, but please refrain from racism. There is a difference. Thanks.

Agreed. Yuli ain't that much better. Surprisingly Yuli has like 15 less hits than Abreu too. Higher BA, but doesn't mean much. Yuli still wouldn't have been the answer at 1B.

I actually didn't feel the need to even see the stats on them considering how awful Abreu has been. I'm hopeful The Astros make some moves at the trade deadline.

I'll give credit for Dusty removing Montero out of high leverage situations.

But then again he single-handedly lost us 3 games in a row within 1 week.

So I'll have to backhand this compliment by saying even loyal to a fault Dusty had no choice.

But the damage had already been done in the form of 3 back breaking losses.

Yeah Yuli's on pace for 48 runs scored and 54 RBIs with a full season of projected ABs.

And I'm pretty sure he's batted anywhere from 2 to 6 in that lineup all year long.

I guess Contreras isn't too bad, about 65 runs and 80 RBIs projected and batting .250. So yeah we would love that production vs the pace of 25 RBIs for Maldonado.

    Consider salaries and contract length

Abreu is stealing money and being hard-headed about batting cleanup and playing everyday. Dusty is staying true to him by accommodating.

    Pride comes before the fall.

Yeah but the thing with Yuli is this man always finds a way in the post season, lets say the the playoffs started tomorrow who would you want at the plate?

    Abreu's pace:

    .215
    0 HRs
    40 Runs
    57 RBIs

    Consider this:

This would be the equivalent of having Mauricio Dubon playing cleanup/5th all year long in 2022.

    That should shiver your timbers.
