Or he could look at Judge, Machado, Seager, and plenty of others to see what the upside is of waiting to be a free agent. Even Correa got more after his disastrous offseason than Tucker would likely get in any extension. Tucker has money. He's not going to be in bad shape if things don't work out. He has the luxury to take the risk if he wants, and it seems he does want.
It's the risk. But you cannot evaluate the risk by only looking at those who did not have the injuries or performance hick-ups. That is the upside or peak potential. If he's dead set to pursue FA, then his rep won't take the call.
Is Julks getting more starts because Dusty knows he's going down when/if Brantley comes back? I'd rather have any combination of Chas, Meyers, Dubon, Diaz the way Julks has been playing lately.
The treatment of Julks vs Diaz at this point is an absolute joke. So now Diaz only gets to catch JP France and his absolute lack of command. We have to do whatever we can to make sure he doesn't look good behind the plate. Jesus just let him hit, I don't care if he ever catches at this point. Somebody tell Dusty and Maldy that his job is 100% safe.
Astros are 13-4 when Abreu scores and/or RBI's.. and 11-2 last 13 occurrences He needs more slugging, but he's one of the biggest factors in the team's recent success He should be if he's batting mid-lineup
You all told me that Dubon was Dusty's adopted child and that's why he played as much as he did last year. Did he disown Dubon a few days ago for Julks?
idk why but i'm still annoyed at the fact of the astros score 0 run with the bases loaded TWICE! ZERO! against the As!
We know the Astros have one of the worst offenses in the league right now and that's what bad offenses do. They are showing signs of turning things around but don't expect regular offensive explosions just yet.
So Maldy is taking over as Hunter Brown's personal catcher? Dusty has had Maldy catch JP France, Bielak, and now Hunter Brown ever since that interview with Dana Brown saying we'll start to see more of Yanier. I guess Maldy caught wind and got defensive of his role like he always does. "THIS IS MY TEAM" It's why he got pissy when the front office was looking at Contreras and Murphy. and why he probably made Vasquez feel uncomfortable staying here long-term.
