I like the idea of trading with Charlotte to get the #2 pick. If #4, 2024 Bkln Pick and eating Rozier’s contract gets it done. I’m in. If we need a 3rd team and all we are giving up is eating one bad contract for 2 years, #4 and 2024 Brooklyn, I’m fine with that. I think Scoot is going to be a great PG and we do have a chance since Charlotte already has their PG savant. Rozier is still a good player, just overpaid and in a bad situation.

So your plan is to hope that one day they miracle their way into becoming more competent and just put up with the terrible spacing that will kill seasons until then? Solid. Maybe they'll land some more top picks with this tanking strategy.
Maybe stating the obvious, but it’s hard to see the rockets moving up for Scoot if we sign Harden. I’m not saying we won’t draft a player with the 4th pick, but I just can’t see us moving up for Scoot if Harden is coming. Anyone else concerned by the quandary of free agency being after the draft? Are we gonna know for sure he’s coming and what the terms are before the draft? most importantly, are we going to put some conditioning and weight requirements in Harden’s contract.
I don't like it at all. Wish we were hearing rumor mill reports of "the Rockets will try to trade up", "a Harden return may be contingent on what happens by draft day", stuff like that. This whole thing smells rotten. Best case is that Harden's team is responsible for putting all this stuff out there to pressure both Philly and the Rockets, and our front office is staying silent because they haven't made a decision. Worst case, and sadly much more likely, is that this is Tilman meddling and demanding that we sign Harden at any price.
