Montero still flirting with danger with the ungodly WHIP (1.72). Things are not any better. Just think of the $34.5 million spent on a starting pitcher instead. What could have been. At some point Maton needs to pitch the 7th and Montero relegated to the 6th and mopup duty. Sad.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but of the A's 7 hits the only 2 that have reached the OF were the grounder up the middle that Pena and Altuve watched and the Langeliers 2B. No jinx.
Has any player taken more s**t despite solid results than Bielak has. Train wreck, trash, awful, worst starter ever, always getting shelled.
A lot of Astros fans here are incredibly pessimistic. I just read the last few pages and you’d think the Astros were 1-8 over that last nine instead of the other way around. I’m not sure how some of them survived Verlander’s starts last postseason! Haha
