What? You're the one cherrypicking data to make Amen's FT% look worse. What are you talking about? Amen shot 53% year 1 in OTE, 69% year 2 in OTE. Good progression. Just present the data as it is from this year: Amen 69% FT, 27% from the NBA 3 pt line. Whitmore 70% FT, 34% from the college 3 pt line. Edit: just saw you're not saying Whitmore > Amen as the #4 pick, could've sworn you said that. Guess not, so we're good.
Surprised more fans aren't clamoring for Gradey Dick at 4. With that shot and high/fast release point? Shocked more Rox fans aren't driving that train. If it's shooter or bust this year why not Gradey?
He’s “progressed” and is still a substantially worse shooter than Cam despite being almost two years older.
If Amen Thompson was in a 3 point shooting contest against the 40 people who voted to pick Walker or Whitmore who wins? Are you putting your money on the alleged top tier NBA prospect, or the field?
Amen Thompson is the future, he can learn how to shoot later.. Dude is way too athletically gifted to pass up, this could be the superstar we have been waiting for. I'm excited for this offseason again...
Stop comparing college 3pt% against OTE 3pt%. OTE is closer to YMCA than College is to NBA. #AmenDelusionMustStop
Don't even know how to respond to this lack of reading comprehension skills. Let me give you a hint, if Timmy shoots 30% from 3 in middle school against the crosstown rival, will Timmy shoot 30% from 3 in the NBA? Now if you can think about the answer to this question, you will understand the situation at hand here.
No but it's easier to translate "Timmy" shooting at an NBA line versus "John" shooting at a college line. My comprehension skills are fine. Your understanding of basketball isn't.
I would argue he fits well since he projects as an elite defender who can guard 1-3 and has serious positional flexibility. It's Scoot Henderson who doesn't necessarily fit that well since he's pretty much only a point guard, which is why I'm frustrated about this report because it likely signifies we aren't trading up for Scoot.
A perimeter player who can’t shoot never fits well, trade the pick for a wing who can shoot. And forget about Scoot, Charlotte is not going to pass up Scoot.
He would be the primary ballhandler when Harden is off the floor. It would be fine. Probably good for him to only play ~20 minutes a game as a rookie while he develops his jump shot.
And it doesn’t excite me..If we had gotten the the #3 pick, I think we would have a realistic shot at Scoot, but #4 really sucks.
