Please dear Lord Altuve Pena Alvarez Bregman Tucker Abreu McCormick Meyers Diaz I only put Abreu as high as 6th because there is no way he gets put any lower. Not at his salary. But yeah 8th is about right.
Dubon has an .886 OPS vs LHP, he absolutely should be playing Problem is McCormick has a .970 OPS vs LHP and Meyers a .945 If you want to put him at SS you would have to sit Pena who has a .912 OPS vs LHP Unless you want to sit Yordan or Tucker, far an away your best two players, it's hard to find a place for all of those guys My guess is McCormick sits tonight (Dusty has never been particularly interested in getting him in vs LHP) Altuve sits tomorrow Yordan or Tucker sit Sunday
The lineup is really starting to round into form. Too much depth is a good problem to have. We just need Abreu to at least be average and we should go back to a top 10 offense. Pitching will probably be up and down with McCullers and Urquidy still out and Bielek and France getting starts. Outlook for this team overall is trending up.
Definitely not the worst one I have seen - from one of us OR from Dusty. I don't like Bregman hitting that far down. I wpuld put him between Yordan and Tucker with Chas behind them vs a lefty. Aa far as what may actually happen: no way Dusty sits Maldy back to back games especially with an off day between, and no way he hits Abreu lower than 6th, most likely 4th or 5th
Anyone know who is going down for Altuve to be activated? I would think Julks It's certainly either Julks, Salazar or Hensley I don't think it's Salazar cause I think Brown is still hoping Dusty will start playing Diaz more Julks has certainly hit better than Hensley who was been awful, but we really don't need a 6th OF and although Julks has hit better than Hensley, it's only because of how bad Hensley has been. Julks is hitting .182 with a .441 OPS in May, at least Hensley offers some defensive versatility
Chas has a career OPS above 900 against lefties and this year, he is close 1.000. He's Yordan against lefties.
Chas being great against LHPs does not prevent Meyers from being great as well. There are 3 OF spots and a DH spot, just enough room to fit Alvarez, Tucker, Chas, and Meyers.
I hate that it is a question on whether the manager will platoon guys with huge splits differences. If Brantley is done, I'd still like Brown to add a RHP killer like a Yas.
The L series... Astros face all LHPs McCormick should play daily The L series.... Oakland losses every game Stros need an extraordinary stretch to reach 100+ wins again
Can't be Salazar. Otherwise Dusty won't have the flexibility of DH'ing and PH'ing with his catchers Oh wait... he hasn't been utilizing that anyway
