You're not sure if a guy saying we've developed a culture the past few years is legit? We had the worst culture in the NBA, it was a hot topic. Our culture was to take shots we know we're going to miss and not be held accountable for defense. I don't think this guy knows what he's talking about.

The contract he's suggesting is $35m/season on average. That's a $15m per season discount on the max. Is Harden going to be the least money-minded player in recent NBA history? It's no secret Harden cares a lot about career earnings and this is his last contract.

The Sixers just fired Rivers without asking Embiid and knowing that Harden didn't like Rivers, so it seems like Morey is in charge there. He will most certainly match that offer plus chip in for the difference in state income tax. Sixers will dwarf our offer if we try to get him cheap, and no he doesn't love Houston more than he loves money.

If anything, it’ll attract more FA and disgruntled stars to come back to Houston.

I would prefer Jaylen Brown but at this point I’ll take anything to regain some sense of relevance again.

Plus if he can mentor tf outta our Jalen without hindering his progression, I’ll take that x100

Sounds like Harden's camp putting out BS to put pressure on the 76ers to bend to his demands.

I guess to make MDA comfortable having Harty on the bench? lol. He did a lot of warming the bench seats on this team @Williamson .

Harty improved since he was able to get playing time. I don't think Morey or Pringles had much use for "young" players... lol

If he plans on being the pass-first/playmaking player he has been the last couple of years this will good for the rest of the team. Time to dust off the Harden jerseys.

If Ime wants him, I'm ok with it. Probably adds 10 wins in the regular season. We'll make the playoffs.

If Green takes the expected third year jump we could make play-in potentially.

They had no use for players who didn't jack 3 pointers.

Montriezl However-You-Spell-His-Name would have been a good run-and-dunk-and-rebound guy for us, but his PT decreased because he didn't fit the Jack-the-Three system. So you see him start shooting three pointers. It was like asking Barry White to sing as high as Steve Perry.

If it isn’t a negotiating tactic he better take a discount to “come home”

"My basketball ops got weak and I told them "WE'RE SIGNING JAMES HARDEN TO THE MAX!" You always keep things exciting for the fans."

The belief among NBA executives is that James Harden will rejoin the Houston Rockets this summer.

Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta “loves” the 76ers point guard. The franchise expects to reunite with him, sources say. Before hiring Ime Udoka on April 25, head coaching candidates were asked for their opinion on coaching Harden during the interview process, according to sources.

Sources have said his interest in returning to Houston is mutual and not a ploy to get a lucrative deal out of the Sixers. His mother still lives in the city. He has several business ventures there. And, as one source said, “he’s treated like a god in Houston.”

But the question is what type of contract are the Rockets, Sixers or any other franchise willing to offer?

Harden could receive a maximum salary of $210 million over four years with the Sixers, who have his bird rights. He could make up to $201.7 million with another team. But at 33 years old, and prone to struggles in the postseason, it’s unlikely any team would want to max him out for four years.
