We aren’t send our top pick to the G League.

He’ll get a long leash and get reps against NBA competition just like Green and Jabari did.

If Amen isn’t good enough to crack the rotation of a 22 win team then he won’t be the pick.

    You're probably right.

I do hope that the 4th pick will be traded along with KJM who has some trade value. I don't mind giving up one of the Nets picks for a starting PG along with the above mentioned to any team.

Why, so we can go 42-40 instead of 38-44?

Trading for Lillard with this roster is a waste. Without Wembanyama, there is no point. Now, let’s days the Sixers do wha my I think they are gonna do and hire Dantoni. My money is that Embiid asks for a trade. At that point, then I offer the fourth pick. Embiid with Green, Smith, Alperen and another vet would be a 54 plus win team, if not more in a weakened Western Conference.

Ime Udoka has said in an interview that he plans to run his full O and D ... and not dumb it down like Silas did.

Udoka could be lying his sweet ass off, but if he is not, he will make Amen earn his minutes and that will be a lot of Amen sitting at the end of the bench ... if not playing in the G League.

You know that the other NBA teams will be using the "Ben Simmons" game plan against Amen, right? How many minutes will a perimeter player get in the NBA when said player can not shoot the rock.

Udoka has also said that he and the rest of the league value shooting. Udoka likely may not want the Rockets to draft Amen.

Look at our roster lol. We have no back up PG. If Amen can’t get minutes over scrubs like JC, Nix and TyTy then there is a serious problem.

If Amen needs G league time then we won’t be drafting him at 4 the first place.

Also nobody is game planing for a 22 win team. That’s irrelevant until we put together a playoff caliber roster.

&& Id be fine taking Whitmore at 4. He has a higher ceiling than Miller imo while being 2 years younger.

How about Amen spends the season playing for some other franchise? I much prefer that - he's just an athlete, not a basketball player.
We already have a roster full of kids who can't throw the ball in the ocean if they are standing alone in the surf. No need to add another guy who's shot is so broken it has to be demolished and rebuilt from the ground up.

The last two drafts seem to have taught us nothing - they keep drafting kids with "measurables" but lacking in things that impact winning.

Give the Nets Porter and their picks back, Blazers take Bridges and send us #3.

We draft both twins #3 and #4!

Okay, DD, you've established your theme of the month, which you can now proceed to beat to death in dead-horse fashion between now that the draft. Expect to be hit with memes from the MemeCorps.

Your best 3 point shooter would be Eason.

Your starters 3 point percentages -

    Amen .233
    Green .338
    Ausar .300
    Jabari .308
    Sengun .333.

    Tari .343
    Tate .283
    Christopher .236
    Tyty .238
    Lively .154

I'm not sure what's less likely- the current 22 win squad plus draft magically winning nearly 2x as many games to get to 38, or Morey accepting the #4 pick for the reigning MVP.

2018 or so this place was literally damning 3 point shooters. If it's that important the pick is Grady Dick at #4.

It might not be "that important" but that roster you listed is 10 dudes who shoot below league average .... Spacing, What spacing?!
That team might never see a layup all season with defenses packing the paint and inviting them to shoot from outside.

There needs to be some level of competence ....

I mean, shooting is still extremely important, especially if you’re gonna be a lead guard in the NBA

people were complaining because Rockets took 3 point shooting to the extreme and had no backup plan if the threes didn’t fall

Amen at this point in time is a complete non-shooter with a NSFW jump shot who needs the ball in his hands to be effective

Rockets last year were dead last in 3 point makes and percentage

I still don't understand why they want Harden?

because the rockets don't have their draft pick and he's the best FA on the market, it's pretty simple why they want him

Really sucks we crapped out in the lottery, but we're still at 4 in what's been called a deep draft. Plenty of good 4th picks in the past. C Paul, Westbrook, Rasheed, Bosh and Rice to name a few. S Curry and P Pierce both went 9th. Booker went 13th. Leonard 15th. And on and on.

I think it has more to do with % in a vacuum. I think Jalen, Jabari and Sengun improve on circumstances alone.

Shooting is important, I'm not downplaying it or kidding at all. If shooting is what we need the most pick Dick. This draft will be our Dick pick. He's the best shooter in the draft and actually at a position of need. #4 isn't a silly reach when he's probably a top 10 pick.
