Viewing that Sengun isn’t untouchable is fine. Saying that Sengun has to go if he can’t fit with a 20 year old guy with a broken looking shot who averaged 16ppg playing against high schoolers with all Sengun has shown against NBA and near top level pros in Europe is ludicrous.
That is the worst about rebuilding, so much unknown, and people defending 20 yr olds like there is no tomorrow.
Yeah but if you decide these two can't play together, why are you choosing Amen over Sengun? And even if we get rid of Sengun, Amen can't play next to Garuba either because he also can't shoot. And neither can most centers, so what now? We spend the 4th pick on a guy that's unplayable unless we trade for Miles Turner? The guy who averaged 15ppg against 15 year olds when he was 20?

well I’m only speaking on what that Bradeaux person said someone like Amen, a guy who needs the ball in his hands but can’t shoot a lick, won’t fit with many players and lineup configurations which is why I was on suicide watch when ESPN showed the 4th pick was being given to the Houston Rockets…I still haven’t recovered emotionally Amen’s jumper looks so bad it’s hard for me to even be delusional and manufacture hope…there’s guys who come into the league with a weak jumper, but there’s at least some sort of foundation u can work with…a little kitchen remodeling and it can be decent…with Amen, u gotta demolish the whole thing and start over
Totally agree. This is like a less extreme version of Miami deciding Bam has to go to make room for Russ or something. If Sengun doesn’t work out it’s going to be because of PNR defense, rim protection, etc. Not to make room for a PG who can’t shoot. We ain’t bringing back PJ Tucker to play center.

Our new coach believes he can put him in a situation to do well defensively. Do you have anything to back up your "archetype" opinion? It is frustrating when people just keep spouting the same stuff, even though the data doesn't support it, the performance of similar "archetype" players doesn't support it, nothing really supports it.
It's not though. At this stage we don't know what the future is going to look like. Guys that are portable in different scenarios are easier to envision succeeding in a cloudy future. It's easy to see Green and Jabari fitting in a number of different schemes and being successful. It's not with Sengun. If he is the guy, great. If he isn't, it presents a number of fit issues. That isn't really a controversial take, unless you are putting the player over the team. If thats the case, don't know what to tell you. This is a Rockets fan forum, not a Sengun one.

Its pretty simple these guys are in love with KPJ thus they hate Sengun. Its literally that simple lol They are incapable of liking two players at once. They are not the brightest of us but somehow all of their bad takes have gained them followers and thus they are Rockets Twitter and it sucks lol
