Great to hear of the Royal Ivey hire! Hearing that the rest of the staff will likely include Ben Sullivan, Abdulfattah, and Lucas. Sounds like Borrego is likely out.
Brown is such an intriguing add for this team as a 3/D/Passer, but man, he's shooting 28% from 3 in the playoffs which worries me that his recent 3PT improvement over the last few seasons might just be a hot streak. Dante DiVincenzo is a very similar player, not quite the finisher in the paint but a markedly better and more consistent shooter over his career. With our team's shooting problems, and the potential of us adding a non-shooter, or mediocre shooter at #4, paying Bruce is risky.
According to an NBA source, assistants Ben Sullivan, Aaron Miles, and Mike Moser are expected to join Ime Udoka’s staff in Houston, leaving three or more openings on Mazzulla’s staff. https://www.bostonglobe.com/2023/05/30/sports/celtics-need-make-changes-offseason-what-kind-changes/

Good news if all of this comes to pass. Sounds like all these guys know each other and have a really good relationship with Ime. That means they will all teach the same system and help engrain that culture we need. Having several proven player development guys around will be very beneficial for our young team. Lucas is a old school type, but I think these new generation guys will be better for us.
