The primary reason we should run from this proposal is because the team has some real assets they have collected over the years by tanking. Swapping CP3 for Westbrook was costly, we gave up some picks and it set us back. We now have a a #4 pick, and the #2 and #3 picks from the previous drafts along w the brooklyn picks, and the worst front office in the league. Harden held a gun to their heads with a mostly empty wallet, now he is standing next to them with the safe wide open making demands.

There are no players in NBA history who have said they want to be themselves even if it's not good for the team. Oh and make no mistake about it, it's not good for any team to let Harden live out a mid life crisis acting like he's 28 again. He does not understand that things were swept under the rug not because it was the right situation but because he was putting up 30+ ppg and 8+ assists. Hell no I don't want him to attempt that here. This guy really needs to go see a therapist and shut his mouth, he's going to waste his final years because of the pressure of not winning a title. I’ll never understand why he won’t get in shape. I love harden but man it’s not hard to lose weight if you decide to put in the hard work. I went from 230 pounds to 160 on 13 months because I started doing running with a lot cleaner diet and I ain’t a professional athlete. As a professional athlete he would prolong his career by years if he got himself in better shape
Harden ain't coming here because he wants to be a mentor to our youngsters. He wants to get paid, take as many shots as he wants and hit the strip clubs like the good ol days.
Everyone knows how to google a good exercise routine and diet. All of the programs work the same give or take 20%. What makes people lose weight is wanting to do it and believing they can do it. Once that's there, no one needs advice to make a significant change in their activity and food. The only reason he's not losing weight is because he doesn't want to. It's taken him 2.5 years to go from FAT to chubby and that's unacceptable. His motivation is not there. His ability to get past his man and have a tiny bit of lift is rapidly declining so the weight is actively affecting him. He's not Shaq, he can't get away with this. James Harden always had to be a mind blowing offensive player to make up for his defense. Very disappointed with him.
I am not interested in bringing Harden back to be the Iso king. Lets see what Ime can do with the youngsters. There is no need to get into a situation where we are paying Harden the max to be a shadow of his prime declining exponentially every year for 4 years,
