40% Layups (Actually even Ben Simmons does better than that) 39.6% FG 16% Guarded 28% Unguarded If you keep Amen on the court with the current Rockets team, the Rockets can't go over 90 points per night. Jalen Green still can't shoot perfect. Jabari found his rhythm in the last few months of the season, but his continuity is still questionable. We already know that Sengun can't shoot, but how he will pass the summer is a mystery. If he starts shooting some shots (he has good form, he just needs to work and have consistency) he'll be much better, but it's terrible that Amen has these percentages against high school kids. I don't know what he's going to do against better defenses and better guys in the NBA, and I don't want a Ben Simmons disaster on my team. It makes no sense for basketball players who can't shoot to be basically basketball players. If Amen Thompson becomes Rocket, I can see Hack-an-Amen in a few years.
The graphic only shows 126 points scored and an overall FG% of 39.6. His overall FG% is north of 54%. Something doesn't add up.
Sengun has better shooting percentages than Amen. He is not a bad shooter. Sengun was not Silas' first choice to shoot. He explained that already. His shooting form is solid so if he starts shoot, his percentages will be better. Sengun already has 55.3% FG. (18th in the league) Also 33% 3PT. Green 41.7% (113th) KPJ 44.2 (96th)
Lord have mercy, the awareness level is low. Folks really need to realize that he'll always play with 4 other players. Just constantly tearing down everyone, Amen Thompson isn't even a Rocket yet and he's been absolutely baptized in all the unlearned lessons of clutchfans posters and SOFs. You guys are really gonna act like the next teenager on the good ship lollipop is supposed to save the team too huh? I swear I saw someone say if Amen Thompson takes a couple years to develop they need to pick someone else. That's every draft pick ever.
It's weird to see so many idiots on the Clutchfans. Although the topic I opened has nothing to do with Sengun, people draw the subject to Sengun because of my nickname. Just as you have banned the idiots who propagate Sengun and attack everyone on the forum, ban the idiots who make Anti-Sengun propaganda and talk about Sengun in every topic. @Clutch
Admittedly I don't know much about Amen but imo it's a red flag that he's always been the oldest player on the floor at every level. I just can't get hyped about a 20 year old choosing to play against high school kids no matter what the stats say. He's older than Jabari to put things into perspective.
Just to put it in perspective. At the same age as Thompson, Green was at the Gleague and scored with a 61% ts with more ppg. That was against grown professionals many of whom experienced multiple years in the NBA. Thompson against mostly high school kids was scoring at the same 61% ts. Green outgrew OTE right after graduating high school. That's a red flag.
What is this Overtime Elite BS anyway. Why did anyone commit to play in that circus instead of college
that is tracking his shot attempts in a half court setting, so it excludes all his transition dunks and layups that increased his FG% so much
