You saying Kobe at 20-21 had much more muscle mass? Green really has developed his shoulders. He had no muscle there when he joined.
He is a bit bigger, but that photo looks like triceps pressed against his body. His shoulders have definitely looked like they can support a great build like Bari's. Either way, i need him to reach another level. We can come away with this with 3 good enough starters. One of these guys needs to become a superstar.
Of course he can add more mass but in this specific picture his arms fall naturally. Pressing you arms against your side to make your triceps bigger is something you would have to consciously do and this is just a random candid photo of Green in the middle of the game so I doubt he was actively trying to press his arms against his sides. He definitely can get bigger and om sure he will but there needs to be an upper limit also because we don't want to hinder what he's elite at which is dribble seperation due to agility.
This will make you feel even better: You think he was able to do that his rookie year? On Draymond Green? Not saying he's done working on adding more mass. He definitely shouldn't stop but by the end of this season he was consistently making plays through contact. Hence his ft rate increase.
Yeah, let's hope he keeps his first step with added muscle tone and increases his efficiency with his mind slowing the game down AND becomes a solid defender.
Jalen Green got a pass for the 1st 2 years, but there needs to be marked improvement this upcoming season…this is a huge offseason for him it’s time 24, 5, and 4 on 44/36/80 splits and 57% TS is what I want to see from him next season
He really didn't get a pass. Dude is the most disproportionately shitted on sophmore of last season and undeservedly also.
He's done nothing but be awful since he entered the league....and he still has people hyping him hilariously enough. He's not even the best 23 and under guard on his own team and he regressed from year one to year two. Honestly, he doesn't get anywhere near the criticism he has earned because his little defense squad is always out there blaming everything and everyone else for his shortcomings as a player. It's a constant spinfest for the kid.
mfs here never did sports and it shows. what he gained is actually 2 months work for young adult whos fed correctly
Remember how MDA would inflate the stats/value of players? Have you ever thought about what was happening there? People would say he's artificially inflating the stats by increasing possessions, shortening rotations, improving the spacing and gaming the efficient shots. Harden, Nash, Amare, Ryno, Gordon, Barbosa, etc. His players almost all peaked in advanced stats during his tenure and that raised both their trade value and the perception of them around the NBA. Well what we went through in the last 2 years was the exact inverse of that. Not your run-of-the-mill deflation from tanking. I'm talking about significantly worse than the next worst team. People talk about our young players' numbers as though they are comparable to others, well they really are not. Our team contains the some of the most artificially deflated stats of all time and that's not an exaggeration I would put money on it. The paint was packed AF. Alperen Sengun ended up the best floor general on the roster with KPJ arguably second. Errors were frequent because we had 20 year olds doing things it takes years to learn. We had to give shots to Jabari even though he wasn't making them and that killed the team too, but it was the right thing to do given our roster. There are things in Green's control that he could have done better (defensive effort) but the results were always going to be these results. If we took the exact same roster from last year and just added Udoka plus an organizational insistence on winning at all costs, we would already see better numbers. These stats are deflated. These players' motivation during one of the most extreme tanking jobs in NBA history was deflated. How would a young Hakeem's character have held up after 150 consecutive games of losing because the GM won't sign even a vet minimum PG or rim protector? How did Luka react to tanking for 10 games? No matter who the hell was on the roster, they were going to have to score the hardest points they've ever scored and they were going to have to bleed more points on defense than they ever normally would. OG Anunoby would have looked worse on this team defensively. Banchero would have looked a LOT worse than Green on this team offensively. Minus the strength, spacing and rim protection issues Green would look much better on both sides of the court already. Those things are 100% improving next season even if just through the maturation of the players or minor signings. I'm sure with a new coach coming in Green is going to be working especially hard this offseason. We're going to see excellent PnR execution from our starting big. We're going to see shooters make shots or ride the pine or replaced in FA. Without any major additions, this team would be better. We're in for a hell of a ride I'm telling you. The pendulum is going to swing the other way and if Green is sincere about being ready for the responsibility and accountability that's coming to him, he's going to improve significantly on the last two seasons. It should and will be a significant leap.
Lmao literally like 6 out of the first 11 threads in the Thunder subreddit are about the Houston Rockets, sad sad ****. someone should get a good SS should the rebuild take a turn
It's kind of a bad look that this guy is so insecure that he has "a couple of burner accounts" to keep an eye on what people are saying about him online. If he's got the burners on Twitter, you know he probably has at least one here. Hope this guy grows up and puts his everything into improving into something close to the guy we were told he was.
