Imagine Wemby being on IR every May, more like.

    Jesus, people.
If Embiid can't stay healthy into June, you think this beanpole is going to thrive for 2 decades? Analysts have losts their minds, just for the clicks, I guess.

And I wish the kid well, but... physics... gravity... forces and tendons, etc.

So what is the plan moving forward? We're never winning a championship.

I mean at least they have Cade (former #1) and Ivey....they have SOMETHING...i'm not too sympathetic to them falling a bit in the draft nor do i think its a complete doomsday for them

I’ll take Amen, Jabari, and Jalen over Cunningham Ivey and Whittier.

Try to trade up for Scoot.

If that fails, pick Amen Thompson and hire the best damn shooting coach we can get our hands on.

Either way, sign some 3-and-D wings and a rim-protecting backup center.

Develop the young kids and pray (at least) one of them turns into a legit top 10 superstar.

All your fatalism is a bit silly. We are still at least a year or two out from even knowing whether the rebuild has succeeded or failed. Sh*t takes time. 21 and under players are almost never really good yet, you have to let them adjust to the NBA and mature physically.

I knew Slim Shady Silver couldn't resist putting Wemby in the Texian State, he just gifted it to the wrong city

Scoot in a trade up or draft Amen/Miller and call it a day, or try and hoodwink a team out of their star player for the pick(s) etc

Didn't see u coming to the defense of harden when the folks were calling him a bum and loser either. This is on u also, u can't pick and choose which rocket player u want to defend especially if it someone who we had his jersey retired.

Lol yall roll over so quickly.

Imagine thinking because we missed Wemby we can never win a championship.

Imagine if this were Lebron... "We didn't draft Lebron, I guess that's it, it's all over."

Rest of the NBA should just roll over, Spurs 2024-2034 champs, why try?

The plan is to continue building the team just like the plan would have been had we won the lottery. We have perhaps one of the best coaches in the NBA, we have a #4 pick, we have Green, Sengun, Jabari, Tari, all under 22, we have all the cap space in the world and play in a market that has a history of attracting big names. We'll be fine.

You know, I'm almost more irritated that Portland jumped us than that San Antonio got Wemby. They got to be average all season and pretend they were fighting for the play-in, then intentionally tanked super hard right at the very end and landed #3. No suffering through an entire lost season, no smart cap management and careful roster moves, just pay Dame a truckload of money, sit him the last 8 games of the season, and boom, top 3 pick.

Almost as bad as if Dallas had gotten it... almost.

This was a disaster for the rockets, folks it isn't clear cut at 2 and 3. We will see, but I doubt hornets pass on Scoot it is best talent on the board first before fit. The NBA is about stars and a star driven league, we still have "potential stars"

Wemby watned the Spurs, France wanted the Spurs.... so it is the Spurs. Pops was way too comfortable tanking this year, anybody with 2 eyes could see what was happening
