I'm more than happy to walk away with Amen. There's a world where we pans out to be better than Scoot. Fills some glaring holes and can coexist with Green in the backcourt. Hopefully Portland doesn't see the light.
If Charlotte was smart, they'd draft Miller who would be a perfect pair next to LaMelo but they are dumbo so they will draft Scoot and waste both of their careers. Portland meanwhile needs to rebuild yesteryear but they're still holding onto the hope that Damian won't ask out and instead surround him with trash year after year. They need a Miller as well to pair next to Dame but there is also a very high likelyhood if they can draft Scoot, they finally start the rebuilding by trading away Dame. Basically #4 is the worst spot to be in for the top 4. If we had 3, we probably can get Scoot without worrying about trading up or even then, it wouldn't take too much to move up 1 spot. Being in 4, I just don't see Charlotte wanting to give us Scoot (since PL will draft Miller at #3 if we get Scoot at #2) unless we give them a ton of assets + young player.

Luckily, he has a great feel for the game, phenomenal court vision, and unreal passing skills. He is raw in some areas (particularly his jump shot), but he has some great basketball skills already.
The Rockets not getting Wemby sucks but that was always a likely outcome. But the Spurs?!?! That **** sucks. Also picking #4 is lame. Amen Thomson is cool but I don’t know if he is a true future star type talent. Here’s hoping he is or they trade up or something. Jalen really needs to take that next step. If he doesn’t, the Rockets sucked for 3 straight years to end up with no one to actually build around.
Amen Thompson is exactly the kind of player we don't need. Has been playing to inferior competition to pad stats and still only shoots 26% from the 3. Go watch some Amen Thompson highlights, it's pathetic, the defenses just let him do whatever he wants without even trying to contest. I'd rather keep playing KPJ at the point than start Amen Thompson.
an Amen Thompson-Green backcourt will be extremely athletic, yes, but Jalen Green isn’t even an average level shooter yet, and Thompson’s jumper is broken on a “teams won’t even guard him” level
I know we're in pain but Amen, and in the mix for Miller or Scoot if anyone slips or trades happen isn't terrible. Amen needs a jumper but definitely has talent as an all-around player.
