Not really.

People think because we've already had two top 3 picks last two years, it will not happen again. Actually the odds of us getting a top 3 pick are the same as previously when you think about it.

Top 3 would be great, but I do not expect the NBA to reward the Rockets for the blatant and obvious tanking. Prepare to be disappointed.

Feel like that's pretty much rubbish when you see how the lotteries ended up in the last 15+years, the supposedly heavily marketing-favoured teams basically never got the 1st pick and big market/media darling franchises not anyhow have better lottery results on average, especially for the first pick.

If it’s about advantaging big markets how do u explain the Knicks abysmal lotto luck? If owners thought the lotto was rigged the NBA would implode. the problem about conspiracies is that it requires a level of coordination, secrecy, and determination which is very hard to pull off in highly scrutinized settings. Yes it’s possible, but highly highly unlikely.
