It would be hilarious if he did and wanted Houston as his destination. I’d even be willing to give up Sengun in that scenario, LOL.

You give up whatever to get Embidd. I’d trade the unicorn and sengun for Embidd. As long they leave us one of Jabari or green to pair with Embidd and harden

I think Jokic would be less injury prone than Embiid in the long run.

Embiid dominates but he is also on track of being injured far too much for my taste.

    IF I am stone
    1. Jaylen Brown - better long term investment
    2. Harden - Good Short term investment

Problem is, Brown is not a FA and won't be for I believe another year. If we think we can get him, we would have to sign a bunch of 1 year contracts as we also have to use 90% of our cap next season.

He's criminally underrated. IMO he's better than Tatum..

Celtics are never letting Brown hit FA. My first choice is for Brown because he’s the better player at this stage.

Based on what? I know Clutchfans is obsessed with Brown, but some of the statements on this site are a bit mind boggling. He's damn good, but he's not the elite top 10 guy some people are painting him as. If I could get him for the max without giving up any assets as a free agent, I'd do it in a heartbeat. But for what he'll cost you, I just don't think the guy is worth it.

Just watch Boston play. He's arguably the best play on the floor a lot of the time.

    Make the Harden/Brown backcourt happen.

Yeah in the first quarter. Completely disappears the rest of the game frequently.

Houston getting harden back is like taking back an ex gf who cheated on you, got ugly and fat and is pregnant with another man’s baby. Bruh . Let our young guys develop and let stone do his job

I've watched every game. He's just good at hitting tough shots. The reason he has to take so many tough shots is he can't get all the way to the basket against a set defense cause his handle is shaky. I'd rather have someone who can generate easy shots than one who makes tough ones.

Or you can look at it as being young in a relationship with a older other half(rockets), getting pampered by your sugar mama and after 8 years it gets stagnant and your sugar mama starts nitpicking and you start going out more often(talking to players to buddy up)

so you tell your SM you want to play the field but maybe later they can get back together because absence makes the heart grow fonder and when the chips are down its better to be with the SM you have known the longest and familiar with after messing around with a couple other SM's(nets/sixers)

I feel like Maxey has done fine developing his young game with Harden, which would be Green and he has no prob deferring to Embiid (Sengun), not saying Sengun or Green is on either player level but they would be the Rockets version of what Harden is coming back to facilitate to, inclusive with Bari/Tari getting direct or hockey assist 3pt attempts and the alley oops that KJM would be possibly catching

Developing is also playing in meaningful games, which they would probably be battling for at least a play in with Harden and a couple other solid moves

    My thoughts on Jaylen Brown.

I want nothing to do with him. Not as dynamic as Jalen Green who I think would be the piece to get him. Feels like his on the ball creativity will limit him as a Robin while I feel like Jalen's top end is higher. The team is so young, I would rather they just see it out at this point.

Also Jaylen is giving me some prima donna vibes. He doesn't appear like a guy who wants to be on the Celtics anymore and to me it didn't feel like his effort was there last night which is a red flag.

Nah. What you clearly don’t get is stone doing his job is getting exactly what this team needs to let these young guys develop which is harden. It’s really not that difficult. A lot of you are stuck in mud and think that letting young guys develop means just letting them run around together like a bunch of chickens is development. Nah it doesn’t work like that

Didn’t think you’d be an advocate for getting harden. You’re willing to pay him the max? 50million at age 38-39 ? Really bro? You think harden at pg is what this team needs? Our perimeter D will be trash

As if the defense isn’t trash when he’s not here. It’s literally a bottom feeder. That’s not on harden with or without him. The pros outweigh the cons by far. In 3 or 4 years his salary literally isn’t stopping anything. What isn’t stopping the rockets is how they don’t control their draft for the foreseeable future and welp that’s not on harden but he can definitely mitigate that and make the rockets competitive and help these kids take steps forward
