Both missed the point. It wasn't a reward for performance, it was about team cohesion. Just like letterman jackets at other levels, it is not a reward, it is participation. But NOOOOooooo! you had to make it a joke. And the team suffered as a result.
I think this is the tell actually, all three of these will be in the new unis. The primary home is that darker color rush style blue with white accent, primary away is the white with the color rush blue accent, and the alternate will be the Oiler colors, possibly in reverse with the primary color being the red, with Columbia blue as the accent. I would be more than fine with this kind of arrangement.
I don't care what anyone says. Those jackets are fly as ****. Perpetual sad sack losers blame the jackets because they can't handle the fact the Texans just weren't better than the Patriots dynasty (shocker).
It was my hope we either go all in on the columbia blue or all in on red... sadly it sounds like neither.
Man, I was wondering with the red and luv ya blue, which was gonna be used and which I really wanted (love the Columbia blue but don’t want to look desperate while titans wore the same)… but the REVERSE, with red being primary and the Columbia blue as the accent actually sounds cool (we’ll see how it looks) but what a great way to keep the red alternate while paying homage to the old blue. one thing, and I can’t remember, didn’t the patriots used to be red with blue accent tho?
Yes, they were...but no mix in of a lighter blue with that, like we're thinking might be part of the new Texans color scheme
I think this is my best guess as to what “shocking” change would look like. It feels like it’d appease as much of the old guard while not completely bowing to the Titans’ past. Negotiations about blue trim feels far more realistic than completely donning the Columbia blue too. Feels like all it’d be is the Titans can’t go red primary and Houston gets to use accents of “Luv Ya Blue.”
