I do not really care....I object to the idea but am I really going to go on a protest.....nah. He does not really bother me any longer to the extent that I waste too much energy on him playing here. He did a great job carrying the Rockets, the city rightfully supports him, he does not have to be everyone's darling. Again, I should care less about this...
I swear they are hostile towards anyone that can displace sengun in the pecking order of "best player on the team".
I know harden isn't in his prime anymore but the disrespect to think he isn't even better than sengun is astounding.
True, in a couple years there probably will not be 5 players better than him. You are right to be annoyed.
I would rather have Harden than KPJ. But I would not want Harden at the max, and especially not at the max for several years. I do think Harden by himself, with the current core of Alpi, Tari, Jabari, Green could probably help us get to the playoffs, if healthy. But I wouldn't trust him much in the playoffs.
The way you all have pushed the propaganda anything less than MVP level Jokic will be unacceptable. I'll be waiting for those 30/20/10 seasons with open arms!
If used properly and given the minutes, 19/10/6 is realistic, next season or the season after next. That's not bad.
When you're making any kind of major decisions in life, it's better if you look at things 3 dimensionally. Sure Harden is an upgrade over what we have now at PG. It's true that we can just sign Harden and not have to give up any assets. Also we MIGHT be a playoff team if he returns. That's where the pros stop and the questions begin. What type of offense can you run around James Harden that utilizes his gifts the most? Most likely that is an offense centered around him with the ball in his hand as the primary hub. Another question is it that the type of offense that Udoka wants to run and is that type of offense best suited for our young core of track stars? Can and will Harden buy into Udoka's system (both defensively and offensively)? Will Udoka be able to hold Harden accountable and will Harden be willing to accept accountability and discipline when needed? Will Harden be a good influence/role model for these young kids? Will signing Harden stunt the growth of Jalen, Jabari, Sengun, and KPJ? Do you believe Harden is a good locker room guy? Will Harden be okay coming off the bench if a guy like KPJ is rolling? These are just some of the questions guys like myself have about a James Harden return to the Rockets. That's why people aren't jumping for joy. It's way more to consider than just surface. Nothing in life ever stays the same, things always change. The Rockets are a very different organization today vs when Harden was here initially. Harden is a much different player (in some good ways and some bad ways as well).
Hes getting plenty of minutes. Not sure how Udoka will utilize him yet. Point being is that any credibility warring fans build up can come crashing down when claims of "there are only 5 players better than Sengun" get thrown around and all the other noise about player comps on a timeline compared to others (Jokic v Sengun) and the recency bias of Jokic playing great in the playoffs some how being a post hoc fallacy of what WE should expect with Sengun. Nuance completely ignored for hysteria and a fail at diminishing James Harden in the process. Its hard to engage you guys genuinely when there are such huge swings for Alpie day to day from future MVP to a pedestrian 19/10/6. In all seriousness a "bad" James Harden game is a "normal" Sengun game statistically speaking and applying context. No need to try and build a case against a GOAT and franchise legend in order to keep spamming a young kid with potential.
