Why is it a big story? Their ratings are literally down 70% since 2020. Their on the verge of bankruptcy. I don't blame them. If you're an average American and you watch and you still vote for Trump then the problem is you. There's nothing CNN or anyone can tell you. At some point we need take responsibility as a society for our own choices.
I do blame them. Their low ratings are in part for the weak ass model they chose to embrace for years. The fact that they are desperate and felt they had to give a platform to a fraudulent unemployed ex-president is their own fault. Even worse they had to agree to his condition that the majority of the crowd had to be MAGA supporters only makes it worse. Such a joke to try and parade that as some sort of relevant journalistic endeavor. It is entirely their fault and they deserve all the blame.
