If they lose, I'm pretty sure Smart, Grant Williams and Mazzulla are all gone. Anyone who brings up Jaylen Brown after he gets all NBA tonight should be ignored.

why would smart be gone? he's under contract for 2 more seasons. Doubt they give up on Mazzulla that quickly after unexpectedly being pushed into the HC spot. Lost in all this is losing pretty much the entire staff. Will Hardy got the Utah Job. Self explanatory with ime. Damon Stoudamire left midseason. The current staff is pretty much inexperienced. They'll be able to revamp is and correct that over the summer Grant Williams meh. if he returns to them yay?, if he doesn't oh well?. not really a big deal.
They'd need a scapegoat. It's stupid but that seems to be how they do this now. When the team underperforms they look for someone to blame. Smart at times has been overshadowed by Brogdon and White and he's a decent sized contract they can trade.
Not just trading for Brown but I can see a trade for Myles Turner. The way Embiid and AD are playing, I can see the Rockets making a move for a center.
I don't think that's the case. That team isn't built for a one and done run, especially with a rookie head coach thrown into the fire unexpectedly and losing their core staff as the season goes on. That team absolutely has additional seasons as legitimate contenders ahead of them. Brad Stevens doesn't strike me as a panic GM
Given their respective costs in terms of assets, Smart honestly makes more sense for us than Jaylen Brown, and is more likely to be available. I don't like the guy as a person, but he brings real point guard skills and very good defense, both things we lack with KPJ. Maybe KPJ would actually be willing to play behind him as a 6th man without throwing soup, too, since Smart is a veteran who has been to a Finals.
I listen to Bill Simmons a lot and sounds like he and a lot of Boston fans are souring hard on Mazzulla and Smart. Dunno how much that reflects on that FO but if it's about Boston he usually knows something. They're young, yes, but this will be the 3rd try with this core. Moving Smart and getting a veteran coach would be a reasonable shake up while still building on the core of Jaylen and Jayson.
I stopped caring what bull Simmons says a long time ago. And he’s no insider. All he is is a known Celtics fan with a mic. 3rd try and Tatum and brown are still just reaching their prime. Just bc they got deep when they were younger doesn’t make that window smaller. It speaks more to them if anything and how they’ve grown. Brad Stevens Is no Tilman. He’s actually smart
Sengun is off limits! If we do not get the top 2 pick but the top 3 pick I would trade Brandon Miller, three other picks with KPJ and KJ. Why would Brown come to Houston? -he wants his own team he is tired living under the shadow of Jayson Tatum. -he respect and have said he was the best coach we ever had. -the Celtic’s fans never LOVED him…their favorite son is Tatum
