The crimes are very serious... could face twenty years in federal prison. And it appears they have the receipts...

I'm waiting on republicans to start pushing those drag pictures of Santos and saying "See it's the drag queens"

if Santos has dirt on anyone higher up the food chain, now’s the time to start singing like a bird and begging for a plea deal…it’s time to snitch

Lady Santos doesn’t look like he’d fare too well in prison

Can you serve in Congress while in jail serving a 20 year sentence?

    Asking for a friend.

Actually, yes. If he doesn't resign or they don't expel him, he absolutely can serve out his term while in prison and as a felon.

sure. lots of politicians engage in illegal behavior. for example, how many politicians (R or D) are guilty of insider trading? but are you saying that santos should not be getting in trouble here or that this is some kind of "witch hunt".

how can anybody defend this lying clown? he lied about his mom dying in 9/11! is that really the guy you want to go to bat for?

As long as there's an "R", Cowardore will defend it.

If they are republicans, @Commodore will find a way to defend them. People like him don't like holding individuals accountable (unless they are democrats).

It'll probably take longer than his term to convict him. Even in this cynical age, I can't imagine he wins reelection. And congress would expel him if he went to prison - hard to vote from there.
