Yes, obviously the Bucks have talent and have the recent championship, this year's playoff flameout notwithstanding. Not to agree they're boring AF, but watching their more "exciting" games I can nevertheless feel my butt-hairs growing, and during their worst endeavors I can feel my body carbon-date.
I have flip flopped on Suggs, loving him predraft and hating him after his first few nba games. I’m ready to settle that my original impressions were right. Two reasons, 1. Advanced stats love him, his defense has made him an overall positive player, which is good for second year players, something Jalen green still isn’t. 2. Improvement from first (he was horrible) to second year has been tremendous. I’ve always said trajectory is more important for young players than how good or bad they actually are. Initially I thought he would be Brandon Roy reincarnated. I think he offensive ceiling has to be lowered now, but there’s a high likelihood that he will be a high level championship caliber pg. Glad to hear rockets are interested, perfect fit next to Green.
Interesting to see what Udoka does with lineups if we get Lopez(been a lot of smoke). Does he play Sengun together with him, Lopez spaces the floor while we run high post or pnr with Sengun. On defense Lopez can play free safety protecting the rim like rob Williams. Jabari would either be playing the 3 or off the bench. Or does he play Sengun off the bench and jabari at the 4 next to Lopez, which would be a more natural lineup. Only problem is that means we are running our first unit offense through kpj and Jalen which I don’t think Udoka would be able to stomach for long. Although I have no problem with Sengun coming off the bench for Lopez who is 35 years old, it would be a temporary arrangement as he learns before the roles reverse.
If the Rockets are serious about including Sengun in their core then they need to go after Jonathan Isaac. I mentioned him as a compliment to Sengun in Sengun’s predraft thread and would really cover for his weaknesses.
If I were the Magic I would keep Isaac over Bol Bol. He was pretty good before the ACL tear and hammy which took 2 years from him. Gave up on Mo Bamba so who knows.
