That's the report. So we went from Brantley likely to be available for the Angels series to he's in traction in the hospital.
The hitting coach is working with him… actually several coaches are. It looks to me that some of the changes they made have resulted in him hitting the ball to 3rd… so now he is just out of whack in a different way. I know Dusty and the Astros give a lot of deference to veterans. Abreu is a legend in baseball outside the USA and has finished in the top 20 of MVP voting like every year - but at some point someone needs to sit him down, tell him to spend time with his wife and son and he can try again in a week. At this point it has to be in his head.
It's always made worse by something stupid Maldy does like not blocking pitches or catchers interference. He hasn't went back to back games with a clean showing.
