"Three Jalens" - a stay young and play for the future scenario: --- What happens in the draft lottery: Charlotte lands the 1st overall pick Detroit lands the 2nd overall pick San Antonio lands the 3rd overall pick Houston lands the 4th overall pick ... Orlando lands the 7th overall pick Detroit is rumored to really want Brandon Miller. San Antonio is rumored to really like Amen Thompson and probably wants him over Miller. Very real chance Brandon Miller is available at #4 in this scenario. --- Trade 1: Houston receives: Draft rights to Scoot Henderson and Jalen Duren Detroit receives: Draft rights to Brandon Miller, Tari Eason and Clippers' first-round draft pick Trade 2: Houston receives: Draft rights to Taylor Hendricks and Jalen Suggs Orlando receives: Kevin Porter Jr, KJ Martin, and next year's Brooklyn pick Free agency: Sign Cam Johnson to a 4-year contract Sign Austin Reaves to a 4-year contract Roster: Scoot Henderson/Jalen Suggs Jalen Green/Austin Reaves Cam Johnson/Taylor Hendricks Jabari Smith Jr/Taylor Hendricks Alperen Sengun/Jalen Duren This team probably still wouldn't make the playoffs next season, but it would be set up to maximize the chances of finding young-cost-controlled star players and the cap flexibility to retain them once identified. It would also provide Ime with lots of flexible players 1-4 and the ability to deploy many different-look situational lineups. Post-game pressers would be funny. Reporter: "What did you think of Jalen's game tonight?" Ime: "Which one?"
I think it would take that pick and Garuba. And I might try to throw Tate in to offset salary a little.
It’s clear that Green is your guy. I think he is the source of a lot of the problem with our team. His laziness on defense and lack of pride (players that he is guarding having career highs, night after night) are character flaws that coaching can’t fix. Potential means there is nothing else tangible to talk about. Yes he puts up stats. (If Green puts up 20 points and the person he is guarding puts up 25 that’s a loss most lights). When he loses his playing time and his trade value plummets then we can talk about the 7th and 11th pick and what should have been. Wallace or Black in short time will stabilize the team through defense even in their rookie season. Don’t be surprised when Green is gone this off season. Because any coach worth anything won’t put up with him for a moment. As I stated earlier I hope I wrong about him. Hopefully you realize you are ranting on a random trade in the random trade tread. BUT in all fairness I do enjoy your response. It’s okay that we don’t agree. Only the best to you.
Green is soon to be a ALL NBA PLAYER….He needs good coaching and veterans around him…he will be fine. Next week is a big week for us….
Just looking at March may be cherrypicking, but it is cold, hard facts that Green's DFG% was better than KPJ's on the season--47.9% for Green (right around league average) to 49.9% for KPJ.
LOL, good job on finding a tiny sample outlier. I do hope your favorite player one day becomes a legitimately decent player so you won't have to keep struggling so hard to spin **** for him. The whole "in a 3 game sample of away games on Mondays and Wednesdays in March, Jalen did well" is really hilarious.
There is no "tiny sample" here. The numbers I posted are the full season numbers. Also, I don't have a favorite player, just FYI. Not all of us stan for one guy like you do for KPJ in literally 98% of your posts
I mean that's fine, but it doesn't really mean what you think it means. Jalen Green was such a pathetic defender, he was the guy the Rockets were constantly trying to hide on the worst offensive player on the court.....and he made it harder for every other player out there since they had to pick up his slack and send help because they knew he wasn't competent to guard any player in the league one on one. . You trying to spin things as if Jalen was even a slightly competent defender is just more of you simping for your favorite player (even if you'll lie about it). No one who watched the Rockets that wasn't a Jalen Green simp would even attempt to make that argument.
What argument? I didn't even make any statements of opinion my dude What are you even going on about?
I don't see very many realistic scenarios where keeping KPJ makes sense. His best fit in the NBA is as a Lou Williams type sparkplug off the bench but I don't believe he will be happy being demoted to that role. Maybe he will prove me wrong.
Kid, c'mon, you're REALLY transparent. You were trying to make an argument that Jalen Green wasn't absolute trash defensively when EVERYONE knows that's not the case. You aren't slick, your shtick is obvious. Just sit back and keep hoping that one day your guy will be even halfway decent at basketball.
You're pretty funny, Bobby. I remember when I took internet arguments as personally as you do. Oh, to be a teenager again.
Uh-huh. You run around on this forum posting about the same topic, over over and over again, all day every day, and any time anybody disagrees with you, instead of being willing to accept that sometimes it's okay to have a different opinion from other people, or maybe on occasion admit you made a mistake or misread something or were just getting a little too heated, you start flinging insults. The sad thing is you think you're winning something. I hope you don't carry this kind of attitude into real life. It doesn't matter that much on the internet, but you really should give some serious thought to how your behavior makes other people see you.
I say valid arguments are valid, dumb arguments are dumb, clowns are clowns, and pseudo-religious zealots are pseudo-religious zealots. Cry about it if you like, but remember that I see you as a clown... how much do you think I'll care about your tears?
