NBA players who got at least a steal and a block per 36 minutes (and played at least 1,600 minutes last season), sorted by age. That's all of them, in the entire NBA. Okay, let's add another hustle stat...offensive rebounds. At least 4 per 36 minutes. See below the only 5 players in the NBA who played at least 1,600 minutes, got a steal, a block, and 4 offensive rebounds per 36 minutes, sorted by age. Alpi + Tari - the hustle kings! Sky is the limit for these two! One thing all these stats cannot measure sufficiently: These two have HEART! @Ankara1923
Doesn't quite fit the "only plays offense, no defense" narrative, huh? And yes...I know good defense is more than steals and blocks...
Baby weights? You’d probably be in traction after 30 minutes of Alpi’s workout Moderate weights are better for dexterity and functional strength anyway! Alpi putting in work!!
My two favorite rockets. I believe in our core. I want to see us consolidate so that we can maximize this draft’s prospects as well. This is our last big whack at the top half of the draft for a while. If there’s another Tari or Sengun prospect sitting right outside the lotto, we shouldn’t shy away from using the clippers pick and other assets to move up and grab them. We have too much youth, but good young prospects are valuable commodities if they hit. We have gotten 2 core players out of each of the last 2 drafts. We’ll get at least one out of this draft, but if we can consolidate and move JC, KJ, Tate, Garuba, maybe KPJ, maybe TyTy, then we’d have room to add two more rookies plus several vets. I’m fine just adding one player from this draft but we need to be ready to pounce if there are two core pieces that can be had in this draft.
Crushing the "Sengun is like Kanter when it comes to defense" narrative: This was Kanter's best season in his career. The scoring and rebounding and % stats look fairly similar...Alpi crushes Kanter when it comes to assists, but more importantly, the "myth" is that Alpi would get played off the floor "like Kanter" ("can't play Kanter"). Yet, while the advanced stats confirm how terrible Kanter was on defense - so bad that it more than outweighed his offensive contribution - they do not nearly say the same about Alpi - yes, his offense is better than his defense, but he is still not a negative on defense. That's because he hustles. Like his brother Tari. And often, they hustle together. @Medicine N Music
I have been reading from insiders on other forums that Ime wants to have someone that can catch a lob and block weak side shots. Shopping Sengun and the Clippers pick to move up to the 18th or 19th pick in the draft.
Hysterical! People think Sengun is only good enough to move up a few picks??? Can't make this ish up. Fools fool themselves.
He is obviously joking/making it up, in reference to the "insiders on other forums" thread. Everyone knows nobody could put together a trade package that's worth Alpi. He is the future.
My bad. Wouldn't know. And I'm not sure he's "the future", but he's good. Some games he's really good. Still a kid, growing into his body. No doubt, with his skill and a body like Capela, he'd end up a HOF'er. Unfortunately he does not have that. I still think he's gonna be just fine. Would love to see a future frontcourt like this.. Sengun Wemby Bari
He will probably end up the best Turkish player ever if he has a long productive career, that alone will guarantee hof status.
Let's see how he does with Udoka. I'd like to see a more defensively inspired team next season, not just Sengun either.
