I mean the teenager that he followed to report his suspicious activity who attacked him, yes. A 911 dispatcher has no authority to tell you not to keep on eye on someone in your neighborhood. I wouldn't say hunted, hunting implies an attempt to capture or kill. I also wouldn't say confronted, because from the audio it appears that he lost track of Trayvon Martin and then Martin confronted him. Pursued is fair. Also acceptable would be tracked, observed, tailed, trailed, dogged, or any other synonym for followed.
Man, I'm not gonna watch another god damned snuff film to discuss the finer details, but as someone who rode public transportation in SF, there are a lot of crazies and vagrants to the point where I'd see one every other day. Most were harmless and funny (my own ignorance), but yeah one bad ride is always possible like what happened to the amber lamps guy vs the marine(?). That was nearly a decade ago when the homeless population stayed more hidden and the poor were less inclined to violence outsode of their neighborhoods. SF and other cities like LA have people who mostly put on blinders. Asians have been a strong target by these groups in recent years to the point where I can't but feel a bit angry and emotional everytime I read or hear it happening. This is much similar to cons consuming news sources with real events that local and broadcast media that either mute or not pick up at all. It's probably that pent up frustration or anger that makes people hold a little longer than they should. When you spar in a gym or shop, the emotion is mostly competetive and you're allowed to treat the risk of serious injuries as part of the sport. Using these techniques when the other guy is unpredictable or the chance of getting stabbed or shot is possible ups the ante that only the very experienced can handle in real time. So I don't know if they intended to be cold blooded murderers. I don't know if they tried to play hero either. Maybe the dead victim harassed that line one time to many. While he didn't deserve to die, maybe the problem we should really solve is why he was able to be there unhindered in the first place. If the city doesn't care, we'll have plenty more incidents with untrained people taking matters into their hands. On the flipside, the victim count will rise even further for petty crimes.
The Child that was in his OWN NEIGHBORHOOD . . .WHICH THE EVIL RACIST B*STARD Stalked and Killed him Rocket Rive
Yeah, you are allowed to follow suspicious persons and talk to them. If they attack you, you are allowed to defend yourself. I'm sorry you thought the "Child" should be allowed to beat someone for walking behind him, but that is not the case. The police knew it was self-defense, which is why he wasn't arrested for a month. The jury knew it was self-defense, which is why he was acquitted. If you want to murder someone, there are easier ways than letting them mount you and punch you repeatedly and slam your head into the concrete.
Self defense should also include not putting yourself in a potentially dangerous situation. The argument is that Zimmermans life was in danger that shows why it’s a bad idea to be a vigilante. Also to add that under Florida’s Stand your ground law Trayvon Martin had no duty to retreat, had as much right to be out in public and he responded to a potential threat of an unknown person pursuing him.

Whether Daniel Penny should’ve even engaged Neely is still in question but Neely like so many shows how much of a problem that we have with dealing with mental health. From the NYT piece it doesn’t sound like he had gotten some treatment and that social services were very aware of him. It sounds like he was in a cycle thought of being picked up getting some treatment, back on the street, self medicating, refusing treatment and back again. There thousands of Jordan Neely out there and like so many problems there is no easy solution to them that is being made worse by politicizing the issue.
No, it would be a very bad idea to eliminate self-defense anytime someone put themselves in a potentially dangerous situation. There is already a limitation on self-defense for people who initiate violence, but walking down a street puts you in a potentially dangerous situation. Owning a business puts you in a potentially dangerous situation. Carrying a weapon, joining the military or police or firefighters, driving a car, having an expensive watch, and millions of other perfectly legitimate activities put you in a potentially dangerous situation. Having no duty to retreat doesn't give you the right to attack people. Trayvon Martin was not subjected to a danger of imminent great bodily harm or death before he attacked George Zimmerman. If he had been, Zimmerman could not have claimed self-defense. Someone following you while on the phone with 911 dispatchers does not trigger a right to attack them. Surely someone that trains the police on use of force would know that.
It's a hard truth but you are 100% correct. Trayvon Martin had a long history of trouble (multiple school suspensions, caught with a burglary tool, drugs) and unfortunately is in the demographic (race/age) that is the absolute highest crime risk statistically. Neighbors and Zimmerman were impacted by so many recent and historical crimes within this demographic. Of course they were suspicious -- they are concerned for their safety. And a 17-year old is not a "child" -- many 17-year olds, including Martin, are big and strong enough to kill with their bare hands. Anyone who calls that a "child" is purposefully trying to deceive.
In white communities the white kid caught smoking weed in school is what we call a "stoner" and white people typically ignore them when they wander their streets. Yes you are a a abject white supremacist
I have in fact been the white person walking around that someone got suspicious of, started following, and then called authorities about. I calmly explained that no, I was not a criminal and was in fact just walking in my own neighborhood. Because I didn't freak out and attack someone, they did not have an opportunity to rely on self-defense claims (nor did they shoot me, because they were not in danger). For some reason, you do not think behavior has any causal effect on the resulting consequences. You sir, are guilty of the soft bigotry of low expectations. Black children can avoid committing crimes and the vast majority of them do. Maybe quit excusing criminality. It is not at all white supremacist to hold everyone to the same standards.
I love these anecdotes and how someone always has the exact one anecdote that perfectly matches a counter argument. You are a white supremacist from the fact you deny the cultural perceptions of young black males in upper middle white majority suburban neighborhoods. White supremacists love denying the experiences of the black community.
Interesting, it sounds like you are denying my lived experience. I didn't deny anyone's perceptions, yet just above you seem to be casting some doubt on the experience of this member of the white community. I guess you are a racist.
You, the astro123 dude and that Debbie chic, you all need to form a support group because of your issues. One thinks Joey B is the greatest thing since slice bread, the other vomits anytime someone mentioned Trump, and you seem to think that everyone in this forum is a white supremacist. Lol
Love it when the only argument someone makes is "how dare you label me this, I don't deserve it!" With no reasoning while I lay out quite explicitly with nuance. why I think someone is a fascist for a white supremacist. I always provide justification.
Just a little tip bro, when you’re the only one doing it, you appeared kind of unstable. I said that with love because I really don’t know who you are and what you are going through currently. I’m a happy person and I am living my best life. Sure, I have trials and tribulations just like everyone but I thank God everyday that I am alive and healthy to pursuit my goals and to provide for my loved ones.
I sincerely believe there is no love in these pieces of "advice". You are offended that I called ideas and notions you probably agree with as notions that white supremacist genuinely believe. Your ideas about me sounding mentally unstable is a coping mechanism for you to feel better, not you having some sincere magical interest in my well-being. How naive do you think I am?
