Tobias Harris - WTF? most overpaid guy on the Sixers and he’s going to escape blame for the series loss if Philly loses
The overall shooting of the Celtics is so much better than what the Sixers have. Sixers pray that Maxey, Harden, Embiid and Harris are all on at the same time. Could see one more blowout despite the series being somewhat competitive.
Been saying this all along, the only way Philly wins this series is if Embiid completely takes over on both ends and shows he's worthy of his new MVP title. That's still possible--Embiid is at the perfect age for an MVP-caliber player to go all the way. But it'll depend on if he's healthy enough and driven enough to pull it off. If he can't, well... Boston is just too deep, and there's not much daylight between Embiid and Tatum on talent level.
Yeah Embiid needs to ball out I agree but he still needs help from Harden, Maxey, and Harris too. Let's not act like the 76ers are not loaded as well. Even though I'm not that fond of the crass Philadelphia fan, in my heart I still kinda feel bad for them. They go from Simmons not shooting, to Tucker not shooting, and Harden stinking it up in the playoffs as usual (also not shooting and being indecisive in Game 3 of this series). The 76ers have enough talent to beat the Celtics on paper, but will they beat Boston? Gun to my head I would say no, I think the Celtics will win this series in 5. And whoever mentioned that Tobias Harris has struggled this series is correct, but how much blame can we really give to the fourth option? I think Philly won't resign Harden not only because he is going to want to leave but they know in their heart of hearts that they need a better consistent number two for Embiid than James Harden if Philadelphia really wants a legitimate chance to compete for titles. Which brings this conversation back full circle again. I get that James Harden will be the number one free agent this off-season and he wants to come back to Houston, and Tillman wants him back to help put butts back in the seats. We must consider that WE DO NOT control our draft capital for the next few years and we can't bank on those Nets picks really panning out. Most of the improvements and tweaks we will need to make to our roster will need to come from via free agency. Why handicap our future and set our franchise back by giving Harden a contract that will be impossible for us to move? It just doesn't make much sense to bring Harden back from most perspectives.
Celtics are Finals material with or without Udoka or Mazzulla. I am intrigued by what Butler can do tbh. Harden is too much noise at this point. Houston are not the Clippers who can retool seemingly every offseason.
Harden 7 playoff games so far 1 epic game 2 solid games 4 stinkers… 13ppg on 12/59 FG (20%) 50% TS. Massive drop of from reg season.
The temperature check around Philadelphia media and their fans are that they do not want Harden, Doc, or Tobias Harris back. I even listened to NBA radio a little today and the Raptors media guy (I can't remember his name) weighed in on his thoughts about James Harden. He says he does not think Harden goes back to Philadelphia either from what he has heard but whatever team does sign Harden it should be at "their" number. He referenced a quote from his father saying "if a person is a square don't expect them to die round". "Harden has shown you who he is and I'm not sure why people get upset when he does not show up in the playoffs anymore". All things that some the fellow clutchfan members like myself and others have been saying for years now. Here is a interesting take from Philadelphia fans/media on Harden, fair warning this podcast has a lot of foul language in it. Always good to hear someone else's perspective. https://www.youtube.com/live/PaYPFX_muB4?feature=share
Sarcasm noted and deserved. He won't be getting one from the Sixers, regardless of Daryl's feelings for the guy, in my opinion. While I'm not opposed to James coming to the Rockets, if he wants to come to Houston, I hope it's for a 3 year deal with a 4th year team option, that's definitely under the max. That'll likely send him elsewhere. All those minutes he played for the Rockets clearly wore him down. I think there's real value in having him play with our guys, but I don't want to eat up our cap to bring him here. If he really wants Houston, and I'm doubtful that he does, we need to play hardball. Better to pass than to overpay.
Cause you a sorry ass ninja that talks a lotta shiiit. Then you act surprised when your boi doesn’t show up? Now tell us about your ‘Maserati’….. Mr. ‘Picasso’.
